OneLake Storage and Premium Capacity (P1)
Hello everyone! Since I couldn't find an answer to the following question and since the online documentation (in my opinion) is unclear, I want to take advantage of this community to understand the following point: Suppose a customer has a workspace with a Premium P1 capacity, a developer is able to create Fabric items (e.g. Lakehouses, Warehouses, Notebooks, etc.). Let's say we need to create a Lakehouse: do we need to buy (extra) storage to manage data? The answer should be "no" because I tested it (I was able to create it and ingest some data) but I couldn't find anything on the documentation online regarding the storage size. With a Premium capacity, is there a default storage limit? Can it be extended? As I said, I couldn't find anything concrete online. Maybe some of you have the answer I was looking for ๐Ÿ˜€ Thank you all!

@Julio Ochoa I don't know but I think that "400 GB" is the maximum memory limit for semantic models for F2048 SKU and not the actual storage space of P1. Anyway, online I finally found something in the Microsoft Documentation (Power BI Premium Per User - Power BI | Microsoft Learn regarding the PPU licence): Could this be the final answer to our doubts? ๐Ÿ˜€

@Julio Ochoa Hey Julio, do you have any updates? ๐Ÿ™‚
Migrate from Power BI to Fabric without redesigning Semantic Model
I have some question about the migration from Power BI to Fabric. Can we migrate the semantic model itselt from Power BI to Fabric? If you have any use cases or example, it would be very grateful to be shared :)

Hello DoKyung! If you already have a semantic model connected to some data sources, you can publish it in a Workspace with a Fabric Capacity with no worries. Alternatively, you can change your Workspace capacity to a Fabric one and preserve your semantic model there. On the other hand, if you moved your data sources in Fabric (into a Lakehouse or a Warehouse), you need to re-build your semantic model or change the connections inside it to point to Fabric tables instead of the original sources ๐Ÿ™‚
Fabric Dashboard
Hello, there. I am happy to have joined this community today! I am starting the DP-600 course, and setting up my free account in Fabric. However, even though I completed the sign-in, I only see options for Power BI and the dashboard is not the same as on the video. Is there anything I should enable?

Hello Camilo! For Fabric homepage, you must go here ---> Microsoft Fabric If you are in the Power BI experience, you should see Fabric options on the bottom left corner ๐Ÿ™‚
Estimating Fabric cost or sizing
Any pointers on how to estimate for Fabric CUs, licensing and SKU for an organization considering to move to Fabric please?

Hello Amit! The only cost estimator I know is this one ---> Pricing Calculator | Microsoft Azure For any other information regarding a transition to Microsoft Fabric, there are so many variables to take into account, and it is hard to define common guidelines ๐Ÿ™‚ Let's wait for other comments and see if someone has some helpful info!
PBI expertise for DP-600
Dp600 : why is the emphasis of the exam so much on PBI. Someone not from PBI background like me, finds it difficult to answer specific PBI DAX expressions and formula questions. For that you will need to have experience working on PBI reports. How do I up skill..any suggestions please?

I think the new DP-600 exam was meant to replace the old (and unavailable) DP-500 exam (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate Certification). As far as I remember, the DP-500 was also centered around Power BI and some advanced stuff like Tabular Editor, XMLA Endpoint, semantic modeling, etc. along with questions regarding how to design and implement enterprise-scale analytics solutions using Microsoft Azure (in particular,ย Microsoft Purviewย andย Azure Synapse Analytics) and Power BI (Desktopย andย Service) So I think that's the reason why Microsoft has included a lot of questions about Power BI in the DP-600 exam ๐Ÿ™‚
