I am trying to book Cathay Pacific biz class from BOS-HKG or HKG-BOS, is there any other program I should use instead of booking direct with Cathay to save on miles?

So if you book with Asia Miles - you have access to more award availability. If you want to just get to Hong Kong, you may have better luck transiting thru Japan or thru the Middle East in Qatar etc given your location on the east coast. I like to personally connect thru Japan or TPE on China airlines by using flying blue miles or flying JAL via American miles
