@Sandhya Coyle I don’t think so, if IT pops in and hears it they can get banned from doing lives. That doesn’t prevent people though, I’ve heard people advertise services, books, etc.

Live question
I have my first live coming up! Do you usually play music in the background of yours? I’ll be streaming from my laptop. Can I play background music from my laptop? Or is that not a good idea? I’ll be teaching somatic movements for low back pain 😊

It was easier for me not to at first. I wouldn’t do it from your laptop, I had people tell me didn’t sound good. I started to not, but from a second computer in the background and it seems to work okay. A lot of people use a Bluetooth speaker.

@Sandhya Coyle thanks, that’s good to know. I’ve been wanting to get a Bluetooth speaker. I’ll have to try that though in the meantime.

Ok I’ve been thinking about how to get to my first thousand dollar month. I was thinking to load all my music on insight timer and just go live once a week to play music and direct people to premium tracks

I like that idea. Maybe ask them to leave a review on the one they like the most. That will give them some more interest to keep listening or a playlist you can direct them to?

They gave me the EXACT same dollar amount. Very odd. I had more RR in the free and premium but lower in the teacher so it ended up being the same total.

Gaining followers rapidly
People have been joining me on Insight Timer rapidly from 50 I went to 71 and I believe this was all because I started having a scheduled live session and now, I will be adding more. I believe Lives help people to discover you and then they move on to exploring your profile. I will give you more updates next month on how it all went but believe me if you're struggling start lives. :) I hope this helps you too. Here is a screenshot of the monthly plays. I think I did one in March. Then April and May I did two each month and trying to determine when the best time would be. Finally in June I started doing them the same time each week and you can see a big jump.

@Sarah Parfett oh man, that sucks. I’ll listen to them, every little bit helps. I know I really like them. Maybe consider adding a few on here that are low and asking teachers if they will rate if they like it since you want to do lives. IT has been changing things and with so many pop-ups people are not rating as much. So one rating can make a huge difference.
