YouTube Shorts
So recently I have been getting a whole lot of organic traffic from youtube shorts for my 40-60 sec rap videos which help me increase my subscriber rate tremendously. So I made a similar video but cut it to 15 sec and got like 85% of people watching the full video a doubled my subscriber rate anyone else having similar success with YouTube shorts?

@Nate James yeah fam with the new album you got you should do like a 15 to 30 sec post on maybe the 1st or second verse or even the hook

@Kadian Foster IMO test out doing your own original music and see how that works for a couple weeks. I have had people to ask me how they can get this song or is it on Spotify and got a new supporter
Spotify New Video Feature?
Soooooo I heard from another artist I rock with that Spotify is releasing a video feature that is currently in beta mode. I think this could increase engagement what do you all think?

Spotify New Video Feature?
Marketing
Ok y'all, my album release is less than a week away. I thought I'd know exactly what kind of marketing I'd want to put my money into, but aside from Google ads I'm not sure! Should I put some into a playlisting campaign? That'd be sure to get me streams, but it's hard to find a legit company that's affordable. This album release is more than just another release for me. This is the most important piece of work I've ever done, and if marketed right it could be the thing that propels me to the next level. I just really wanna know how best to do that. Honestly I'm really good at doing the work myself for marketing and networking, I've organically gotten myself where I am today. But on this one I want to also put some funds into some professional stuff. What should I do?

Hey Nate for some organic marketing I would make some reels/tik toks doing some verses on your album. Then the ones that do well organically boost them by running an ad to an existing post on IG and/or Facebook with a link to your album. IG also will allow you to post 60 sec stories now. You can also boost a post with tik tok or run an ad. Tik Tok is more expensive though but just a suggestion

@Infinite Illis Yeah I did that and saw some massive grow this year. I don't know why I did think of that before.
YT Strategies?
I consistently am seeing evidence that yt will be the scene in 2023. What are y'all planning to do to optimize your growth on YouTube this year?

I don't know if @Sean Taylor ⁣still has the YouTube training Kohrey did but it helped me understand and get some good results. It was a game changer for me when I do my marketing budget for next year YouTube is definitely where major of my ad money is going

@Sean Taylor Word! I will take that into consideration 💯
A question that has been plaguing me for a long time
I have had some very significant success as an independent artist. I go by Derek Minor. On IG, I'm sitting at 137k organic followers. I've never bought any followers or engagement. I also went pretty inactive over a time and had sporadic posts. What I've noticed is no matter what I post, the amount of followers that I lose exceeds the ones that I gain. Even with really decent content. I'd love to know has anyone ever experienced that?

The legend!!!! What up bro good to see you on here. I have experienced on IG losing more than I gain but I noticed when I run a paid ad after it stops my engagement increases even when I don't post for a couple months
