How are you at pusing, tick tacks and general riding? I find most people want to get into parks and ramps before they even feel comfortable on their board! This is key. if you can't move well on your board in the flats a more controlled area then when you add quarters and other features the timing and coordination only gets more difficult and dangerous. See the link I have for a video that we worked on with USSEA a while back. It's a bit long but well worth your time if you are just getting into skateboarding and the push out of the Tick Tack is advanced but it really helps you long term with your turns and pump when you get back to the ramp or park. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvCFScWKoXI
Struggling with rock-to-fakie
I’ve progressed well with skating in general but this foundational trick is really bugging me! I can rock back and forth on a half pipe ok but add some coping and my brain has a meltdown. I am kinda getting it on this mini ramp but its still too sketchy to move to something bigger. my main struggle is lifting that front foot to get it back over the coping nicely. When I do lift the front foot I often lose my balance and usually lean back too much and the board goes flying. Any advice on getting used to lifting the front leg whilst going backwards?

I would suggest starting to work on getting your double tap on a mellow bank first as you are hitting the coping up and back. so with the double tap you want to keep your weight over your back truck, lift the nose with pressure on your tail and unweighting your front foot, tap the flat after the bank, stay over your back truck as in these videos you are too far over your nose/front truck, then when you feel your momentum going back, lift up your front trucks agan and tap down on the bank. once this gets consistent then you bring it back to the ramp! You can check out the tutorial I've added, I don't love how JB really goes forward on the bank but it is really good to get an idea of what clearing the trucks looks like.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTtRbd8FwfM&t=56s
