Hydrogen connects! 🌍 Thrilled to see Green Energy Park recognized as a 2025 Global Gateway Flagship Project under the EU’s Climate and Energy category. A true milestone for driving Brazil’s neo-industrialization and Europe’s energy transition through the visionary “North-East Brazil Green Energy Parks & Green Shipping Corridors” initiative. Kudos to the GEP team for their incredible efforts!

Great to see Siemens Energy and SSE developing a 600MW H2 turbine! Compared to ammonia co-firing, H2 turbines offer better combustion efficiency and greater flexibility as a power supply. Attached is news about two 665MW H2-blending turbines (up to 10% H2) that began operation in June 2024, capable of injecting up to 1.34 GW into the grid and providing steam to a chemical industrial park in Huizhou, southern China.
We’ve summarized the latest Hydrogen Project Updates:
Here’s what developers are planning: → Topsoe: e-Methanol tech to cut CO₂ in Galicia by 56,000 tonnes/year. → RES: Swedish project fuels aviation with synthetic eSAF hydrogen. → ENEOS: $200M LOHC hydrogen export plan for Australia to Japan. → Nel & Samsung: Pink hydrogen demo in South Korea. → VNG & HyCC: GreenRoot project to serve German industries by 2029. → Aker Horizons: Narvik’s green ammonia site integrates production/export. → Equinor: 1GW H2M Eemshaven blue hydrogen targets big offtakers. → EWE: Germany’s salt cavern storage scales for hydrogen supply. Great to see Equinor launching its first H2 Open Season! Established energy companies with CCUS are playing an increasing role in low-carbon development. In 2021, Alberta, Canada, launched the Edmonton Region Hydrogen HUB, the first of its kind in the maple leaf country. Plans are underway for another hydrogen hub in the Calgary Region, with a webinar at 21:00 CET on Dec. 12.
We’ve summarized the latest Hydrogen Project Updates.
Here’s what the developers are planning: → Air Liquide/TotalEnergies: €150M green hydrogen for fuels in France. → ArcelorMittal: €1.3B green steel projects face policy issues. → KBR/AMUFERT: 2,300 t/day ammonia plant in Angola. → Sungrow in China: 150,000 tonnes/year hydrogen + renewables. → NTPC: India’s first green hydrogen fueling station in Leh. → Wolftank: €10M hydrogen solutions for buses and machinery. → Jordan/HDsolar: Study for 400,000 t/year green ammonia. The Sungrow project was even featured on China’s national channel CCTV (see attached screenshot). Known for its solar inverters and battery energy storage, Sungrow is leveraging its value chain position to expand into ALK and PEM electrolysis. In another momentum, Geely Auto, which acquired Volvo Cars in 2010, is set to provide 350 methanol cars for the 9th Asian Winter Games in February 2025. This will mark the first large-scale deployment of methanol vehicles at an international event and is expected to drive both methanol demand and supply.
