My son was born with severe brain damage and was rushed to the ICU, where he spent the next two months fighting for his life. My wife and I were living in the hospital, consumed by fear and uncertainty. I knew that I needed to be fully present for my family, so I made the difficult decision to step away from my business. For 6 months, I didn't work at all — not a single call, email, or meeting. My entire focus was on my little boy and supporting my wife through this incredibly challenging time. During those months, something extraordinary happened. Even though I wasn’t working, my business didn't just survive; it thrived. In fact, those 6 months turned out to be some of the best months for my business ever. I was stunned. How was this possible?
