6 contributions to Self Publishing Book Marketing
Introduce yourself!
Let us know that you're here and how we can help. 1. Where are you from? 2. Are you publishing your first book? Or have you already published? 3. Are you struggling with anything? Where do you need help? 4. What's your favorite thing about self-publishing? I'll go first: 1. I'm living near Boston, MA but have also lived in Canada and Texas. 2. I first published in 2011 and have published over a dozen books since then. 3. I struggle with prioritizing all of the ideas that I have for books! HELP! 4. My favorite things about self-publishing are all of the marketing opportunities that you get once you've published a book. I love being able to get my book into people's hands in low-cost creative ways (sometimes free). Your turn!

@Andre Bell Crowdfunding does several things. You're going to write marketing materials to entice people to donate to you. You're going to come up with interesting gifts for those who do donate, that is a part of the process. It will help you to begin to think outside of the normal marketing channels. You will get an idea of what people like best about your gift offerings. You can use this information in your marketing before and after the book is released. The best part? If you think it's the money, this is a wonderful added bonus but the best part is you have a list of people you can start your affiliate marketing with. The people who donate, love or at least like the ideas behind your book. Your affiliates don't even get paid by you, Amazon does all of that. You can send emails with a link to the video that Amazon has to entice people to become affiliates. You can set up a very long followup sequence to keep encouraging your band of affiliates. You can even have contests for folks who bring in the most people who sign up to become Amazon affiliates so they can promote your book. People will spontaneously write to you with their results and thank you for bringing them a new stream of income. You can offer to create an Ecom business for them. You can send out an email blast telling all of your readers the results that people are getting. That would encourage others to kick into a higher gear. There are so many more things that crowdfunding does for you. Even if you're not writing a book, bring one of your older current books to make an update or a sequel of and do crowdfunding for that.

Check this out: Get ALL of your KDP books in one SHORT link:
Check out this link: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=B005PPUPX2 It takes you to an Amazon page with all of the books linked to my Amazon Author Account: https://amazon.com/author/chris Pretty cool, right? But why would you want a nice, clean, short link for ALL of your books on Amazon? Because it looks better on business cards, social media links, book covers, and in emails. To do this, first create your Amazon Author Page at author.amazon.com and then view your page. In the URL, you'll find a unique number. I'm calling it an Author ASIN. If you copy it and search for this ASIN on Amazon, the search results will always be the books you'll tied to your Amazon Author Page. You can make this link as short as possible by using the format I've used abaove and just use YOUR Amazon ASIN instead. Anyone else know about this already?

I love this. No, I have never heard of this.
I'm starting a book club (and you're invited)
Have you ever read a book that was so good that you immediately read it again? Or listened to an audiobook and then bought the physical book anyway? Or found yourself talking about a book to anyone who would listen? It's fun, right? Discovering something new that you find fascinating and wanting to share it with other people? For me, one of those books is How To Get Paid For What You Know by Graham Cochrane: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1637740670 The book does an amazing job of explaining how to build a business by turning your knowledge into an online course and then marketing it using social media. If you've been following me for a while, you probably know that this is something that I really enjoy helping people with. But the book leaves out an incredible valuable piece: BOOKS. Adding self-published books to this business model is like adding a TURBO CHARGER or a CHEAT CODE. Books just make everything EASIER and FASTER because they open up some amazing marketing opportunities. So I'm starting a 12-week BOOK STUDY where we will dive into this book. I'll be helping people go from start to finish and creating their own knowledge-based business that includes their own self-published book. The BOOK STUDY is in the Authorpreneur Community on Skool: https://www.skool.com/authorpreneur When you join, I'll send you a WELCOME PACKAGE that includes my bestselling book, The Authorpreneur Blueprint: The Authorpreneur Blueprint ($150 value): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TZLM1T3 Plus, I'll send you a Kindle redemption link to The Authorpreneur Blueprint Kindle Edition ($100 value): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VF1QT3M By the end of the BOOK STUDY, you'll have everything that you need to start your own knowledge-based business and combine it with the POWER of a self-published book!
