Suppliers vs Wholesales
So i've joined a couple of dropshipping suppliers and to be honest the profit margins aren't great. Im now on the hunt for aussie based wholesalers or manufactures. My question is.... do i fill my store with products from the suppliers and publish it while I reach out to wholesalers? or do I hold off until i've established supply chains directly with a wholesaler?

@Melanie Kelly Hey Melanie, curious what the verification process is like? Is it a simple application? Ive nearly finished my store, with dummy products, just a bit nervous about how closely they will be scrutinising it for validity.

@Sylvia McLachlan I was stuck in the same way for ages. I found i wasted a lot of time on trying to choose a perfect "niche" and stressing about particular niche's being oversaturated. I found it a bit overwhelming so i just decided to go with something simple and safe to start with while learning.
Dummy Products
Im currently building my online store, I don't yet have suppliers so Im filling it out with "dummy products" in order to have a completed store to show potential suppliers. My question is how much time should I be putting into those Dummy product profiles? Should I be re writing the descriptions with SEO keywords? or will a copy and paste job from the amazon listing suffice? How closely will suppliers be looking at it?

Ta. Thank you :)
Niche selection
Is it best to choose a niche that you have a sound knowledge of? For example my background is hairdressing, should I be selling styling tools and products? Or is it fine to choose an area you feel would make more sales but you have a less hands on experience with?

I'm doing the same Susan, just trying to research, learn and plan as much as I can about dropshipping before making any moves. This would be a side hustle for me too. :)
