New week, new learnings
Just came across the post on LinkedIn about Zomato's food recue. Problem identified - food wastage. Around 4 lacs (0.4 million ) food orders were cancelled for the users despite of no refund policies. What did Zomato do? They introduced Food rescue! "Canceled orders will now pop up for nearby customers, who can grab them at an unbeatable price, in their original untampered packaging, and receive them in just minutes.
" What do you think about the initiative ?

Justifying the ‘Why’ in UI/UX: Beyond Just Good Looks
As product people, we all know that a slick interface is great—but the real value comes from knowing "why" behind every "what", even when certain UI/UX decision is made. Here are some ways people justify those choices: - User Flow Justification: “This button is huge and brightly colored because it’s the main action users need.” It’s not about aesthetics; it’s about guiding users toward their next step without hesitation. - Consistency Over Creativity: “The color scheme may look standard, but it ensures users feel familiar and confident, reducing cognitive load.” (Because sometimes simple is smarter!) - Accessibility Considerations: “This font size and contrast ensure readability for all users.” Because usability should be universal! At the end of the day, every UI/UX element has a purpose. A good design choice isn’t just what "looks" good; it’s what "works" well for users. What’s a UI/UX decision you had to justify recently? And what was the ‘why’ behind it? Share your experiences!

5 Mistakes that will get you rejected in a PM interview:
Most candidates fail product manager interviews—despite being great at the job. They focus on giving the "perfect" answer, instead of sharing their thought process. As a hiring manager, I want to know *how* you think, not what you know! 🤔 5 Mistakes that will get you rejected in a PM interview: 1. Lack of excitement Your energy sets the tone. If you're not excited or engaged, neither am I. Lack of enthusiasm will hurt your chances of success. Show me you're happy and tell my why! 2. Ineffective communication and bad structure If your answers are not easy to understand, I will lose interest. If your answers only focus on *what* you did, and not *why* you did them, I will doubt you If you answers are too complicated, I will not follow. 3. Overconfidence Overconfidence is an instant reject. Confidence is key to success, and I appreciate it. But overconfidence shows poor judgment—that does not work for product managers. 4. Not listening and thinking More than half the candidates answer the wrong question. They either don't listen. Or rush into the answer without thinking. Tell me what I want to know and you'll keep my interest. 5. Not asking for help I'm interviewing you because I want to hire you. I'll help you succeed—but only if you ask. If you don't ask, I can't help. Want to make sure you don't make these mistakes? In this detailed guide, I share the exact secrets that will make hiring managers love you! 🤗

💯
MVP (Monday Viable Plan 👀 )
- Grab coffee. (Essential feature) - Answer emails. (Low-priority, but high visibility) - Start last week’s “urgent” tasks. (Left in the backlog) - Follow up on that “tiny” production issue from last Friday. (Actually huge 💀 )
