Tuesday Tip
The key to creating a successful sales funnel, is to keep it simple and intuitive. Avoid the temptation to move people forward too fast. Instead, try and think what the next natural step would be for your prospect.

Interesting Melitta that you’ve referred to sales funnels in your Tuesday tip, as I plan to review mine, over this long weekend as Oman celebrates its 54th National Day. The back story is that a few weeks ago, LinkedIn started sending me leads from people who had contacted them to request a proposal based on the services I offer. Unfortunately, having decided to produce a generic proposal, whilst highlighting the specific services an individual had requested, I discovered I could neither copy/paste, nor upload the proposal as an attachment to the SUBMIT link. Consequently, I now send a contact request, introducing myself and those who respond positively receive a proposal. So a review is necessary with this sales funnel having been put together on the fly. Although LinkedIn should be applauded for encouraging members to update their career/job seeking skills. However, the downside is that people either think the service is free, or that I work for LinkedIn and to be honest I’m not sure which is worse. 😊

Welcome Ismaila 😊
Thanks for letting me in!
Hello, everyone! I'm Brian from Orlando, FL. My life's purpose is to help others succeed, whether it's at their job, starting a business, in life, whatever. I'm generally an optimistic realist. I always tell people that we don't get enough days to let any of them be bad. I love to travel, but have not traveled very far. I have never left the US, and so far, I haven't been west of the Mississippi River. Online, I can often be found researching. So, I spend a lot of time on Google and YouTube. I have social media, but I'm terrible at social media. In the past, when I have helped people get their businesses started, I was always able to get them customers quickly. Doing so for myself is a completely different story, though! So, I'd like to learn to be more confident with my own marketing and customer acquisition.

Tuesday Tip
Take time to explore your WHY, the reason why you are in business. Think beyond 'making money' to the change you want in your life & the change you want to see in the world.

For me, my becoming a Careers Guide follows the mentoring thread that runs through two of my major careers, the military and higher education. As an NCO I spent plenty of time mentoring young soldiers and likewise with students and in both cases there was a common theme of career development. It is my belief that far too many people fail to fulfil their true potential. Either because they are unaware of the opportunities that are available to them, or they don’t have the confidence needed to take opportunities presented to them, because of a fear of failing. Well you’ll never know unless you try. To me the world would be a much happier and better place, if people took aptitude tests before choosing a career. Rather being advised by family or friends, about the career path they should follow. That’s where I come in, the neutral Careers Guide, who says it as it is. 😊
