China is in the background in some of the pics that I’m posting, as this route follows the border at various times. Beautiful scenery, and beautiful people is the theme. I’m going to have to learn more of the Vietnamese language, because my attempts at ordering a meal in the tiny villages up here is rather comical. And yes, there is always Google Translate. Some of my friends give me a hard time for frequently having my bicycle or motorcycle in the foreground of my travel pics. Honestly, I don’t know what they’re talking about 😉

Hi everyone, I arrived from my home in Vancouver last week, and after several excellent days in Hanoi I am now up in Cao Bang province on a motorbike trip. Our good man Travis suggested that I post some pics and updates. Twisty roads, passing through small villages full of very friendly villagers. It’s low season up here, so it’s nice and quiet.
