First attempt using Procreate
Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post my first attempt at sketching a concept using Procreate thanks to @Henry Gao's Procreate course. These sketches are the initial concept for an architecture school assignment where I'm required to come up with a scenario for a commercial building, so the scenario I've chosen is a replacement for an existing library in Napier, NZ. I am just starting out with any form of sketching, so any and all feedback on how I can improve these sketches is hugely appreciated. Cheers, Oscar

Good point Michael, thank you so much for suggesting that. I'll have a go at it when I have a moment. One thing I forgot to mention was that I used SketchUp to create a base model to trace over by using the match photo tool, so for the actual building I could create a scene in SketchUp that has only the shadows and adjust the blending mode to blend them in, then do what you're suggesting and use a brush to touch up the rest of the drawing.

Thank you so much @Henry Gao, that's a huge help! When I get a moment, I'll have a go incorporating your suggestions into the sketch, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Cheers, Oscar

I'm an architecture student based on a farm in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. I'm keen to learn how to use an iPad for sketching and add it to my workflow.
