Years ago I bought mom this paint by number set to keep her busy during the day. This was during a time when I was still working and I had no idea of the life I would be leading with her now. She never was really into it. she let it sit and collect dust. Recently I tried to paint with her using that kit, and she still is not into it. But I am. Today I started painting with the kit. I find it relaxing and a good thing to decompress with before moving on to the next task. I have already saved a whole bunch of paint by number sets to one of my Amazon wish lists It is good to have something to decompress to, something to work your brain cells creatively Cheers! :)

@Ray Makara That is so cool. I remember a teacher saying to us once before a huge project due that if we were stressed to go out, hug a tree and scream. Back then I thought that was funny. Today I understand it so much better. There is something about nature that helps clear your mind and soothe your senses. Nothing can beat that. Thanks for sharing! :)
It really is this simple
Solving problems will make you money online Earlier today, my wife called me and asked if I could put a spare tire on my mother-in-law's car. Ironically enough, she was going to the tire shop to have the tire replaced, but when she got in the car, it was too flat to drive. When I got to her house, it took me about 20 minutes to install the spare tire on her car. But how does this boring, everyday store relate to making money online? Simple, there are millions of people who don't know how to change a flat tire. They were never taught, or they just forgot. And when people don't know something, they go to the internet looking for a solution. And that's where you come in. You can create a video teaching them how to do basic, everyday things like putting a spare tire of a car. Basic, everyday questions are being asked as answered every single day. "But Alston, how does one make money from this?" Well, I'm glad you asked. Here's how I would make money with this type of content Affiliate marketing: recommend a product or service that can help with car issues (AAA for example) Digital product: create a course about car maintenance and repair Get paid by the platform (YouTube, TikTok, etc) I encourage you to look at the problems that you have solved in the last month and I'll bet you find a few problems that you can solve to make money online. And the best part is you can do it ethically and honestly. If you're looking for more help, the YouTube Affiliates Academy might be for you. I am learning that even if someone already created a video solving something you were looking to solve, you can also create another video in your voice, talking about your experience and put your touch to solving that problem. The market is never saturated. You learn how to stand out from the crowd expressing your essence through your content. This academy is well worth it. I finally understand the concept of batching, amongst other things I am learning and I can say that for the first time in many years, I am looking forward to creating more videos to upload to my channel. Cheers! :)
No one prepares you to watch your hero's fall
Today is a tough day for me. Hey {{contact.first_name}}, Who is your hero? For me it was my parents. My mom worked multiple jobs to allow us to live a middle class lifestyle. My dad worked jobs he hated so that we could have the holidays we wanted. But no one prepares you for the eventual fall of your heros. About two years before my kids were born my had walked into a hospital because his pacemaker kept firing. He never walked on his own again. The day after my second fathers day, he passed away. For those two years it was a constant back and forth to the hospital, ER visits, and dealing with seeing your hero reduced to speaking like an infant. The only words he could say were "fe fe" and SHIT! The ladder always came out really clear. Now, I am seeing my other hero slowly fall. My wife, who is a stroke coordinator for the local hospital, noticed signs of a stroke in my mom. This happened just after my youngest sons Christmas concert. We called 911 and she was taken to the ER where she was given the same diagnoses as my dad. While not as bad as my dad, she has become a shell of herself. She stays with us a few days per week, another benefit of having a business with no boss. Today was an especially bad day, where we had to take her to the hospital. As I type this I am waiting on a call from my wife with test results. Today I feel unmotivated, I feel sad, and tired. I don't feel like doing anything, and I really haven't I don't even feel like editing this email, so I won't In business and in life, some days are just really tough. Appreciate your heroes before they fall. I'm only writing this email because I committed to myself that I'd send an email every day in May. I like to keep commitments and hold myself accountable. For the rest of the day, I will be looking for things to make me laugh as a way to escape the thought of another hero falling. Alston

Alston, this really hits home. My best friend keeps preparing me for what is to come with my 90 year old mom. It is something I don't want to think about right now. I want to enjoy my mom's feistiness, her driving me up the wall, and appreciate her being super active as I care for her. However I also realize the importance of staying accountable and committed to building even on the toughest days. To write that email, to script content and film that video. To respond back to comments and do the steps needed to grow your platforms consistently and persistently, even to the sound of crickets. I appreciate you posting, and not worrying about being perfect. Your message came through strong, so strong, the little bits and bops that you left unedited never stood out. Cheers!

The messaging out there about how AI can make things simple, easy and quick has to change. In fact, the get rich quick overnight, duct tape solution, to making money online, messaging has to change I like @Ray Makara microwave mentality example..."people want success, but they don't want to learn how to cook..." That is a great example You want success, you must learn how to cook new meals...that is, learning new skills and abilities like writing, copywriting, creating content, creating and sustaining an email list, making videos, studying analytics to make your videos better.....and more...all of this takes time...and it is time well invested Wanting things 5 minutes ago wastes time....versus investing the time to learn new skills and how to apply them the right way. AI is a powerful tool, when used to guide you to create things in your own voice, to help you with your research and direct you how to go deeper in your research. Thank you Alston, for being at the forefront of marketers stating the truth of this field and how epic it can become when you take the time to do things the right way Cheers! :)
Income streams for April
What a busy day... I just got back from a field trip where we went to the local museum and lighthouse. One of my joys, and the biggest benefit of having an online business, is the ability to go on every field trip my kids have. After the field trip, I treated the kids to lunch at their favorite restaurant. As a kid, it felt like found money whenever we got to eat something other than school lunch. Earlier today, I uploaded a video detailing my six income streams from last month. I realized I had forgotten two income streams after I uploaded the video to YouTube. Click here to watch the video now. Also, I am thinking about putting together an Affiliate Marketing Mindset Mastery Program for those who are struggling with the mindset aspect of making money online. Let me know if you'd be interested in the training. Best, Alston

Income streams for April

I believe what most people fail to realize when they enter this space is that you don't have to focus on one sole product or service to earn money online. Creating multiple streams of income is encouraged because should, God forbid, one falls through, you have the others to fall back on. It is about learning those fascinating new skills and applying them across different avenues to create those multiple streams. For example, you start to create content to help people make decisions on certain tech products, where you learn how to speak to a camera, film, edit, upload....and eventually when you gain a following, learn how to set up, write an email sequence, which includes learning how to create a funnel to bring your people through your email sequence, etc. etc. etc. Will it take time? Yes. Will the time pass anyway? Yes Take the time to learn the skills that will help you set up and generate multiple streams of income Mindset is key in all of this Byron Golden said this...and I am going to paraphrase it: "It is not difficult to build a business...it is difficult to become the person that is willing to build that business..." YOu have to create the mindset to become the person willing to go through trial and error to build that business and maintain that mindset when your businesses has their ups and downs....so that you can roll with the punches....ride the tidal waves and always come out unfazed, calm, cool and collected. I am interested in the Affiliate Mindset Mastery training. I look forward to its release! Thanks so much Alston! Cheers ya'll!! :)
