Is this salvagable?
I had the spontaneous opportunity to take a picture with 2 Halloween girls. Unfortunately the guy, who I gave my camera to, chose a really crappy angle to take the pictures and the picture is definitely subpar. Can this picture somehow be salvaged or just scrap it?

I don't like it, I wouldn't keep it. But I definitely wouldn't make it a habit of blaming others for your failures. If you want a specific outcome make sure to ask for that and verify that. It is your responsibility to direct.

What is your opinion on this? The first is the original, the other 2 are lightroom edits.

@Yvam Nessyma Sure thing. I lowered the color temperature to 4900k, brought the luminance of the highlights down 20%, increased saturation 15%, lowered red levels 17%, increased contrast by 6%. On the right I lowered luminance highlights by 23%.

@David Wilson That particular picture was edited with Rawtherapee.
Good photo ruined?
This was taken with an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I have no idea what happened here. They look fine on the phone, but after importing to lightroom they look like this. Any clue of what could've happened? attached the DNG raw files if anyone wants to give it a try: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19FzwZLhK8wmiODSng0fzOW5E9zdOhNSF?usp=drive_link

When looking at the RAW file the EV (exposure value) is +1 instead of 0 which caused the picture to be overexposed. Likely your phone did this for you automatically due to it's focus point. My best guess is that the focus point was the seats of your car and/or the tree since those are properly exposed. Give me a couple minutes and I can edit this post with a corrected image. First is exposure corrected from the JPG. Second is exposure and color corrected from the RAW.

@Breno S Gotcha. There is still some room to play around with the picture if you want to try to use it still. I can take it to photoshop and tweak it if you have any ideas of what you think still looks off.
Rent a Car 🚗
Do you guys think you should rent a car to take high status photos with and post it on Instagram?

Generally you want to post the best moments of the life you tend to live. If you regularly rent cars sure, if not I'd probably not do so. Locations are 10x better than cars anyway.
Are any of these instagram worthy?
1st attempt so please don’t hold anything back. I need to get some feedback. Thanks

First and Third are pretty good. Something is not quite right with the lighting though. Looks artificially dark. I'd experiment with these same pictures at different times during the day.
