Really happy with my paper trading over the past month. After breaking down my trades for the month of November and finding out that I was taking too many trades and losing a little more than I would like, I ended up trying to stick more closely to my strategy and using Jedi entry methods only when price reaches my supply/demand blocks and sets off my alerts. And after reviewing my paper trading account, I’m up over $4500. That’s a whole month's worth of pay for me which blows my mind. Getting very close to opening an EA and giving it a shot. Pretty nervous but I know if I can stick to my strategy and control my emotions, there’s no reason I wouldn’t have the same success with an EA or funded account. Thank you again for everyone’s help especially @Kyle Henris! You’re the man Kyle!

@Lauren Owsiany Nice I wish you luck on your EA. Ya just have to keep a level head and realize losing is part of the game. As long as I follow my strategy and don’t get greedy it should be all good!
Tools of the Trade
Can someone please let me know if this would work for trading?

I heard Topstep is really good but a lot of people on here use APEX.
Jedi Entry on GOLD
Set up this Jedi entry on the 1hr chart for GOLD with a 2/1 profit/loss ratio and when price entered my plan area (green box), set off my alert and I entered the trade. Think I’m getting the hang of Kyle’s plan! All about price action and proper risk management! I’ve been paper trading for about 3 months now and I feel more and more confident. Just can’t get too confident in the trading game!

Jedi Entry on GOLD
Trade Time
Good morning everyone! Just had a question about how long to let a trade run. I set up a trade yesterday on Gold after my alert went off. It was a short position with all the criteria for a perfect entry. I entered the trade and I got to about $300 and my take profit was around $500. But this took almost 8 or 9 hours for price to move to $300. My question is how long should you stay in a trade? I know it’s not best practice to keep a trade open overnight. It’s also not best practice to close a trade when it hasn’t reached your take profit. Also I know there was news yesterday but I got lucky as price action wasn’t too crazy on Gold. Trade time might just be a subjective thing but if anyone can give their thoughts that would be awesome thanks! :)

@Jonathan Hutchins Okay that makes sense. Kind of annoying that paper trading doesn’t do the same thing when the market closes. Doesn’t give you a real idea of losing your trade because the market closed. I’m on the west coast so for me the market closes around 2pm and opens again at 3pm. So you’re saying I should close my position if it doesn’t look like the trade will hit my SL or TP before 2pm?
