Updating Pantry
We have a very small closet we use as a pantry. It's time to update. I'm not sure if I want to do a full remodel or just improve the organization but I'd love for others to share some inspirational pics or videos. One idea that I like is the shelving on the door that is seen in this reel

I've done a little research to open my eyes up to the potential opportunities I may have available to me. I suppose that's step 1. Step 2... it's time to make a list of the types of items that will be stored in the pantry. Once I have this list, I'll have a better idea of how much space I need to ensure for each type of product.

Step 2 has been completed more or less. I am going to keep it a little flexible because it's unrealistic to build spaces to accommodate exactly what is in my pantry now and only that. After all, our needs may change and we still want the pantry to remain organized and functional. For us... our general category of items that I want to design the pantry for are as follows: ✅ A few appliances such as crock pots, a meat grinder, electric can opener, mixer, etc. ✅ Canned goods ✅ Boxed goods ✅ Packaged goods ✅ Aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. ✅ Dog and cat food ✅ Dried goods The pantry that I'm working with is quite small at 36" wide x 24" deep. For step 3, I want to either sketch or list out my organizational methods for each item. For example, I think the largest appliances are going to be housed in closed door base cabinets while the largest pots that we don't use very often (like our giant tamale pot that gets used on special occasions) will have a home on the top most shelf in the pantry. I'll share my step 3 plans once I have it sketched or listed out.
New Feature: Inventory
We added the ability to indicate the status of your inventory. For our use, we found the following 3 labels to work best: In Stock Low Stock Out of Stock Now, we don't have to physically go through our seed bins to figure out what we need to order every year. It's visible right in the planner!

Pet Steps
I'm excited! I'm finally receiving the last of the material I need to complete a set of pet steps I'm building for our shepherd who has arthritis in her back and can no longer get up on the bed. I'd be fine with this except that we give her treatments that significantly improve her comfort and mobility on the bed because it's difficult for me (with my own mobility challenges) to constantly move the equipment between the bed and the floor. This is the closest thing I could find to an inspirational pic. Truthfully, the steps I'm building don't look very much like this. I'll be excited to share pics when I'm done.

Cat House
I'm in the middle of building a cat house right now. Here's my inspiration. I've built something similar in the past for one of my own cats and every cat tries to sleep in in whenever they get the chance. I have different ideas for designs that enhance the house, but for now am just building one as a gift to a foster cat we were able to adopt out. Unfortunately, my workshop is my garage right now and it's far too cold for me to be out there staining, given my injuries. Looks like my opportunity will arrive tomorrow!
