Accommodation Advice
Salaam all, Following on from my previous introduction post, wheels are now in motion for the move to the UAE. Visiting as a family in November (with wife and 2 kids) and then I will be moving over in January in sha Allah before the family join me. Looking for some advice around accommodation. Firstly, are there any sites where we can arrange a short term rental for c. 3 months, other than Airbnb? This allows us to settle into UAE life and essentially 'trial' it, and look around and assess all residence options properly Secondly, once we have been out there for a few months and got used to life, we will then be looking to move in to our own place (post Ramadan once back from UK for Eid). Which areas would you recommend for a family of 4? Kids are both young so not at school age Open to flats or townhouses Willing to go up to 150k - 175k AED max for the year. Area wise I am open to suggestions as all I know are the touristy hotspots. Would appreciate any help, Jazak'Allah!

Waleykum assalam. I would recommend Blueground for short-term rental. They have a wide selection of high quality properties and are all centrally managed. I've used them before in Istanbul and it was a great experience, and saves the hassle of dealing with Airbnb hosts. See https://www.theblueground.com As for what area, your budget is enough for a lot of areas, so the best thing is to visit the areas and get a feel for them. 3beds will be at the top end of your budget. Just be aware that the prices now may not be the same as when you're looking next year. And the market moves super-fast here, so just bear that in mind.
Poll: DBB Moving to Whatsapp?
Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuhu brothers Firstly, jazakumAllahu khayran again to all the brothers who attended our first breakfast a few weeks ago. It was a lovely morning al hamdulilah. The end of summer is in sight in sha Allah, and we have PLANS for DBB! Firstly, we’ve had a lot of requests to move from Skool to Whatsapp. Who’s in favour?

As much as it pains me to be in yet another WhatsApp group, I think for now it makes sense. Maybe as DBB grows, we could look to migrate back to Skool or another platform – but at the moment with only a handful of posts, WhatsApp is probably the easier option.
Quran classes & English speaking halaqa
Salaam all, Can anyone recommend any English speaking sheikhs who teach Quran lessons including tajweed (in person ideally) I am also looking for any English speaking halqas if anyone can point me in the right direction. Jzk

Accountant for UAE corporate tax
Assalam aleykum brothers, Does anyone have any recommendations for an accountant that can handle corporate tax returns and VAT requirements. My consultancy doesn't handle a huge amount of transactions monthly/yearly, so it shouldn't be too much work. Any pointers gratefully received. Jazak'Allah khair

Car rental
Asalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu. Any recommendations on well priced car rental companies in Dubai who won’t try swindle you out of your deposit? Mid / long term rentals up to 6-12 months for a family car. Jazakallahukhayr

Waleykum assalam brother Sahir, I've had decent experiences using Thrifty in the past, they were the only company I found that were happy to deal with debit cards/cheques, rather than forcing you to use a credit card (which I don't have). They have decent deals on long-term rentals, usually with brand new vehicles.
