Good evening! I had an idea from our earlier meet and greet discussions. For those of you in undergrad or vet school with upcoming exams, how about we set up a Zoom session? We can present what we’re learning, almost like being professors for each other. There’s a saying: “You don’t really know something until you can teach it to someone else,” and I find this approach helps me do well on quizzes and exams. I thought of this last year, and I’d love to hear what you think! I have an exam in about three weeks, so I’d like to organize a Zoom session for anyone interested. During the presentation, everyone can ask questions. If a presenter doesn’t know something, they can ask their professors later to improve their understanding before the exam. This way, we’ll all be teaching and learning from each other. Let me know your thoughts!😁

I love this idea and think we should do it. As of this moment I’m not taking classes so I wouldn’t be able to present but I would love to sit in to observe, potentially learn the topics.
DIY Pet Care Attempts
Good afternoon everyone! I wanted to start by expressing how much i appreciate this community and what we are all here for. We are all doing great things and im blessed to be a part of this and to be given an opportunity to do what i love while educating and learning from others. A couple years ago i found 2 cats in a dirty leaf pile crying and screaming. After a couple days of checking on them, i realized they were not being cared for and that i would have to step up and lead these cats to a better life. At first i had no idea how much time and money i would be spending on these cats but it ultimately brought me closer to what i love doing, caring for animals. After a while i started trying to make home remedies to help cost and their overall health. My invention was a rosemary flea/tick spray that was SUPPOSED to help with the problem but unfortunately it did not although it made them smell really nice. In the end i was proud of myself for even trying to create something and it pushed me closer to my true passion of helping animals in a natural way. Im wondering if any of you guys have tried to make an at-home remedy for your animals, what it was for, and how well did it work? Im hoping we can gather some new ideas from eachother! Hope everyone is having a great day! (:

I haven’t made any home remedies but I did mix apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle last year for my dog for his fleas/itchyness. It worked pretty well. I got the idea from google lol

The Benefits of Raw Feeding: A Holistic Approach for Future Veterinarians and Pet Parents
Hey Future Vets and Pet Parents! 🌱🐾 Looking to enhance your pet's health naturally? Let's explore raw feeding, a holistic approach that aligns with Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and Dr. Croom's philosophies. What is Raw Feeding? Raw feeding provides pets with uncooked, fresh ingredients like meat, bones, organs, and some fruits and veggies. This diet mimics what animals might eat in the wild, offering vital nutrients often lost in commercial pet foods. Why Raw Feeding Matters 🌿 Dr. Croom believes food is medicine, supporting the body's natural healing processes. Here's why raw feeding can be transformative: 1. Natural Energy Balance: In TCVM, foods have energy properties that can heat or cool the body. Raw foods are neutral or cooling, ideal for pets with excess heat or inflammation. 2. Enhanced Digestion: Raw diets align with pets' biological needs, promoting better digestion, healthier stools, reduced allergies, and a shinier coat. 3. Cleaner Ingredients: Control every ingredient your pet consumes, avoiding fillers and preservatives found in commercial foods. For Future Vets 🩺 Understanding raw feeding equips you to offer holistic solutions: - Meet Growing Demand: As holistic care rises, be prepared to advise on natural diets like raw feeding. - Personalized Care with TCVM: Tailor nutrition based on individual health needs like excess heat, dampness, or deficiency. - Innovate in Veterinary Medicine: Stand out as a forward-thinking practitioner by mastering emerging trends. Ready to Learn More? Dive deeper into raw feeding with Dr. Croom's Raw Feeding Guide. Understanding the Growing Role of Robotics in Veterinary Medicine: Future Implications for Holistic Pet Care
Hey Future Vets! 🌿 As we continue to push the boundaries of veterinary care, it’s essential that we stay informed about emerging technologies, especially robotics, and how they could impact our field. Recently, I came across a fascinating article that dives deep into the rising influence of robotics in various industries. While most examples focus on manufacturing and automation, the crossover to veterinary medicine is happening faster than we think. Imagine robotic arms assisting in precise surgeries or AI-powered machines monitoring the health of your patients 24/7. These tools could not only enhance the accuracy of treatments but also allow us to integrate holistic solutions in more effective ways. 🌱 For example, a robotic device could administer acupuncture more consistently than human hands ever could. 🤖💡 As we discuss these innovations, think about the future role of holistic-focused technologies in your veterinary practice. We’re at the forefront of a technological evolution, and understanding these advancements will set you apart as a forward-thinking vet. Key Takeaways: 1. Robotics in Surgery: Tools like robotic arms can ensure higher precision during operations, reducing the risk of human error. 2. Monitoring Systems: AI-driven monitoring tools will provide real-time insights into a pet’s health, allowing for more personalized and preventative care. 3. Holistic Tech: Emerging robotic technologies may one day assist with holistic treatments like acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and more. Let’s stay curious and explore how we can integrate these advancements while staying true to our holistic roots. Who knows—your future practice could be a perfect blend of ancient healing techniques and cutting-edge robotics! What do you think about robotics in vet medicine? Let’s discuss below! 💬👇 #FutureVets #VeterinaryMedicine #RoboticsInVetCare #HolisticVet #InnovativePetCare #EmergingTech #AIandPets
