One photo per day
Recently Tim shares his hack for work/life balance, and this is mine. I have a Journal Database where I add a photo in the body, each day. The template is set-up so that there is a placeholder image (with name of the day where possible) that I simply replace with my own. And then, I create a Gallery view of this database that allows me to see all the beautiful memories I've made over time. Here's a little peak into it: https://www.loom.com/share/141f9ebc1d504c01b1fb623264914203?sid=fdd20e01-839b-4660-ac47-c7a9d450e644

One more thing! This set-up is a result of following the process taught within Notion Mastery (the course/community created by Marie Poulin & Ben Borowski). The journal database is THE most frequent database I use. So if anyone is interested to know more about that program, feel free to reach out.

I started the gallery in late November or early December last year. I'm looking forward to having a whole year's worth of images to look back on.
Using your systems to achieve work/life balance
Here's a little system driven hack I use on myself to remind me about what's important in life.

@Tim Jeffries It's part of my "Journal" database that I use in many different ways (it's also a habit tracker, I've got relations to theme days, events, recipes, projects, tasks, etc) I reserve body of the pages for this database for my "photo of the day" and I've created a Gallery view to see them all in one place. There's a placeholder image (from Unsplash) on the days I haven't added a photo yet. I usually use the mobile app to change the photos and once a week (during my review), I add an image for each day. I haven't yet figure out a way to get all these photos and export them in a way that would make a printable album easy to make. I'd love to figure that out... It looks like this (full view & page view):

@Tim Jeffries I'll record a video a bit later this week - we've go two birthdays this week so plenty of photos to add to that gallery!

@Jay Jeffries We're hoping to take the kids to Vancouver on our next trip. I've only been once in my life and it's beautiful. But similar to Australia, when you're from one coast, it's hard to visit the other because it's such a big country!

@Tomas Maruccio I travelled in Argentina for about 4 months in my early 30s. But I don't remember visiting Cordoba. For Formulas, it's a thing I'm struggling with too, but I'm doing the Formula Fundamentals course (as part of Notion Mastery) and I'm loving it. I also found that Red Gregory's YouTube videos very helpful.
Our family roadtrip 🚗 🛣
Life can't only be about doing cool things with business systems so @Jay Jeffries and I have taken our four kids on a roadtrip up the east coast of Australia. We're almost 2 weeks in, we've had some disasters and adventures and have now reached the Gold Coast 🏖. Sadly it super rainy and kind of cold but we aren't at home and we are living the caravan life! Anyone else doing some travel at the moment?

Looks like a fun holiday! And the rain should ease up soon in QLD! For us, it's back to school today.
