‘Ground Luminosity’ reaches its zenith in this final track, released on November 10th, 2023. It’s not just music, but a Druidic bardic tale transformed into an experimental aural odyssey. This piece narrates a young apprentice’s journey from a woodland cottage to the mythical city of Dinas Affaraon, brought to life through innovative soundscapes. In creating this auditory narrative, I harnessed biofeedback devices and sensors, converting my body’s electrical impulses into midi sequences. These signals, resonating with Druidic lore, were the seeds of our musical story. The process didn’t end there. My biological rhythms were augmented through custom-built effects, synthesizers, and analogue hardware. We delved into advanced recording techniques, employing quantum probability, granular, and modular synthesis, further enriching this sonic journey. Supplementing these sounds are field recordings made while wandering through the wilds of Devon. I immersed myself in the role of the apprentice, engaging with the ancient spirits of trees and sacred plants, capturing the essence of my interactions with nature. This approach was not just for artistic expression but was a meditative practice, allowing me to embody and bring the Druidic journey alive through sound. Mixed in immersive 3D audio, this track is designed for journeying, healing, and psychedelic therapy, aiming to aid in imagination and transformation.
