If you are already a Mac user, GarageBand is ideal to get started recording, mixing. There’s quite a few excellent courses on both how to use and how to get started mixing. Like prior response, once you are about a year in (for me, at least), there will be things it cannot do and you will want to upgrade. I’ve been using Logic Pro for a few years and love it. Don’t slack on learning basics about recording, EQ, mixing techniques, Fx, etc.
