@Volodymyr К on staying motivated: To start, I think there are three keys you can consider: 1. You are motivated to use GTD and/or any other method consistently if it brings value to you (alleviate stress, help you stay focus, get things done etc.). And a big part of this is applying it consistently in the beginning. E.g. for me, I actually only use the Capture habit for a few years before switching to full GTD. I just make sure I capture my commitments somewhere on lists, calendar so I don't forget them. 2. Stick with ONE tool. Don't switch. Switching a lot means you restart and have issues with your workflow. Try to choose a good enough tool i.e. you define that yourself and stick to it for 3 months. 3. Track your wins. You might be accomplishing more than you can remember. I personally keep a wins list of my weekly/monthly wins to remind myself what did I do - this usually give me motivation to do more!

@Volodymyr К on doing things when you don't want to: This is the most important question when it comes to execution. For me, I try to do the hardest things when I have the most energy. If not, I skip it. I also break it down to smaller tasks I can do in 15 minutes. If I can do more, I do more. If not, I just stop. And finally, I reward myself for making the smallest effort. The principles are leverage high energy hours, breaking tasks into bite-size pieces and self-rewards. They will create a forward moving flywheel to help you get momentum in anything. Try it!
