Full transparency, the child in me took over and voted yes because it would be entertaining and it would get weird really fast. However, the adult in feels as though someone should put out a more responsible suggestion. Since, she tried to make it seem like she was an expert in quantum physics and history... What if you brought in someone who's actually an expert to talk about those topics? And what if you casually referenced some of her points to sayed expert? Maybe you will kill two birds with one stone. Achieve the mission of educating the younger audience and disproving her. P.s. Again I want to put out there you could always just turn the show into celebrity death match - YouTube edition and debate her for hype. You will get no complaints here. @Michael Sartain , just remember to bob and weave if you do in-person.

How to balancing career development and networking

As title suggested, not every career is heavily based off networking (like real-estate, online marketing, or any info products sales). Yes, networking skills can help, but many careers are skill based and it takes time to sharpening the skill, build up brand for yourself through career movements. Then when you go out there to network it's 10x easier because you actually have value and have the ability or asset to convert those social capital. FYI: I know this is a more nuanced question. I'm not really asking this for advice for myself. I'm actually more curious about what career folks are in and how are they balancing the two. So for folks commenting on this, if you could also mention what career you are in that will provide some context.

@Trey Zhong I'm going to take the flipside of @Steve Estro here and get abstract. Networking like Michael has mentioned is a evolutionary adaptation which means that its embedded into everything that humans do. If your worried about it being a waste of time maybe start by clarifying your goals then figuring out the minimum amount of tactics to achieve your goals. Networking should be efficient, helpful, and remove some of the friction in obtaining your goals. Your over networking if it complicates them.
