✅FT⚽️ Darnley Disappointment’s 13 - 10 Real Warriors ⚽️[POTM: Rowan] Championship Match
📅 Thur 5th Sep, 🕘 9pm, 🥅 Super Soccer 🙋‍♂️Build up & post match reaction in here! Match Report In a game that was far from a “Disappointment,” Darnley Disappointment triumphed 13-10 over Real Warriors in a thrilling championship showdown. Both teams brought their best football, with goals flowing throughout the match. The first half saw Darnley dominating possession and creating plenty of chances, thanks largely to Rowan, who netted a first-half hat-trick. However, Real Warriors managed to claw their way back from 4-1 down to trail by just two goals at halftime, with the scoreline at 6-4 to Darnley. In the second half, Darnley shifted into another gear, continuing to dominate possession and capitalizing on their chances. Every outfield player contributed with goals, showing the team’s depth and cohesion. Despite valiant defending and goalkeeping efforts from the Warriors, they couldn’t hold back the relentless Darnley attack. The Warriors kept fighting, taking advantage of Darnley’s late change in goalkeeper to score a few more goals, but it was too little, too late. Rowan’s all-around play earned him Player of the Match honors, as he was involved in nearly every crucial moment of the game, leading his team both defensively and offensively.

Full Time: Darnley 13 - 10 Warriors This game was far from a “Dissapointment” as both sides showcased their best football in this game. The first half seemed one sided but the scoreline would say otherwise, Darnley dominated the ball and played with intensity putting Warriors off their stride slightly, but the Warriors did well to claw back to an admirable half time score despite Darnleys Rowan scoring a first half hat-trick! Half Time: 6-4 to Darnley Clawed back from 4-1 to get within two goals it was all to play for in the second half but it seemed Darnley had another gear to take it too. Second half was the “dissapointment” show as Darnley dominated both possession and chances and despite Warriors best defencing and goalkeeping efforts it was to no avail, goals from every outfield player for Darnley showcased their dominance. Warriors fought hard though, and Darnley’s late change of goalkeeper may have aided in adding a few goals to their tally late in the game. MOTM: Rowan (Darnley) Still a hard choice as many players played well here but Rowan was involved in every move and chance, winning the ball well defensively and dictating the movement he wanted from his teammates, a great game to watch but especially from Rowan. Very entertaining game with some great goals from both sides, sure it will make a great watch!
✅FT ⚽️ Southsiders 5 - 7 Rosehill United ⚽️ [POTM: Gio] Over 35s Match
📅 Wed 4th Sep, 🕘 9pm, 🥅 Goals 🙋‍♂️Build up & post match reaction in here Match Report The first half was an end-to-end affair, with both teams testing the opposition keepers early on. Each side settled into the game, producing good passes and hitting the woodwork multiple times. The half ended at 2-2, a fair reflection of the balance of play, with big attacking chances being well defended or narrowly missed. Southsiders showed strong teamwork, with Brian’s footwork and James’ bursts of pace providing standout moments. James, in particular, executed some clinical moves that caused trouble for Rosehill’s defense. The second half followed the same dynamic, with both teams rotating between attack and defense, leading to a thrilling exchange of goals. A late yellow card for Southsiders, along with goals from Tony and Bruff, helped Rosehill establish a two-goal lead that ultimately decided the match. Man of the Match: Gio (Rosehill United) Gio was involved in nearly every key moment of the match, contributing on both sides of the ball and displaying excellent teamwork.

Full time: Southsiders 5 - 7 Rosehill An eventful game with some excellent football from both sides but Rosehill come out on top despite a great game from Southsiders who made things hard for the winners. First half was very end to end with both teams testing their respective keepers early doors but each side settled into the game well making some good passes, hitting the woodwork and more! Half Time: 2-2 all level and earned by both sides, seems to be a game of big attacking chances either being defended well or getting just away from the attacker. Both teams actually rotated well, with nobody necessarily sticking to attacking or defending, leading to some great footwork from Southsides Brian and fantastic link up play. One thing I enjoyed was one southsiders player I believe named James cleverly exploding away from the borders and getting some great shots away, a quick and clinical move! With the mix of attacking and defending from all players it lead to a great second half and some great goals from both sides. After a late Yellow card for Southsiders and Tony and Bruff scoring from similar positions to take a 2 goal lead it took the game slightly out of reach. MOTM: Gio (Rosehill) Maybe the best game I’ve seen from Gio, was involved in just about everything in this game and worked well with teammates on and off the ball!

Full time: MCFC 1 - 4 Braygos Maybe the lowest scoring game I’ve been a part of but don’t let that fool you, the football was incredible! Both teams did very well to nul each other out in the opening half despite some really clever football being played! A mix of fancy footwork and smart passing made this first half entertaining even though we didn’t see any goals until about 15 minutes in! Braygos lead the first half due to some late goals but still lots of football to be played. Half Time: MCFC 1 - 2 Braygos Braygos kept their foot on the gas this half and went for the kill, defending well and keeping the two danger men up top for MCFC quiet despite their best efforts to nick a goal! As I said, a lower scoreline but a great performance on both sides! MOTM: Amrit (Braygos) While a tough choice Amrit takes the award as his performance both sides of the ball and his work rate was fantastic, great playmaking and great shot blocking despite seeing some tired legs late in the game!

apologies for the delay! Full Time: Stoaters 16 - 13 Baillieston A battle of Old(er) vs Young! A young Baillieston team made their debut tonight in an entertaining game against an experienced and well drilled Stoaters side. The young side came out fast and gave Stoaters some problems to think about, Logan and Jamie caused a real issue going forward but an experienced defence knew how to deal with it! Half Time: 6-6 All square and rightfully so, each team had tired legs showing but the second half would still have 17 goals in store from both sides who did not let up! Second half starts and Stoaters decide to take time on the ball and play at their tempo, while Baillieston played a quick counter style in the second half allowing them to use their pace well. Unfortunately David didn’t best Goliath this time, but it was certainly closer than expected! MOTM: Jamie and Nad! A MOTM from either side here, both players were the controllers for this game and played both side of the ball well, special mention to the Stoaters keeper who made some unreal saves and Kai from Bailleston who started in goal and came outfield in the second half with some great moves! the young side painted themselves in a good light in this game, fought hard and played some great football, don’t underestimate these lads if you come up against them!

Full time: Westend Legends 5 - 7 KP Derry The storybook result here, one team dominating a first half then a total different outcome in the second half! A strong first half saw Westend take and early lead and with that some early control of the game leading 2-0, while KP would reply with 2 goals in this half it was the Westend show run by Shawn in the first half, great dribbling and passing from him kept the 2 goal lead for Westend, despite the best efforts of a very quick KP side, who tested the keeper with shot after shot it was either saved or blocked very well. Half time Westend 4 - 2 KP Derry KP decided to kick it into another gear this half, they brought it from the first seconds of this half which was arguably more physical than the first half despite that each team fought well. Despite Westends Gary and Paul trying to keep their tight lead KP were constant and their pressing was relentless. Reacting well to loose passes and especially to rebounds KP took the lead in a tight game all round, a late penalty for KP would put the game all but at rest with 2 minutes to go. MOTM: Grant (KP Derry) Hard one to choose here, even debating choosing one of the Westend boys who played really well, but for me Grant was influential coming on and made some great passes and even set up some shots( even if they were rebounds!) Shoutout to Andy also who was a great driving force for KP late in the game. An incredibly entertaining game here with a well earned comeback but Westend didn’t make it easy for their opponents here, both teams did well at different stages of the game.
