Indie Hacker nightmare
I just read a great story about a girl making $5000 MRR by monetising Telegram channels. When you read it, it seems super easy to grow and monetize with ads. She even grew her channel from 0 to over 6000 subscribers within a couple of months. Low tech, high growth, decent passive income. THE dream of any indie Hacker. **BUT** When you look for this entrepreneur on X, her only activity is selling courses about how to grow your Telegram channels... 😭 I bet she's making more money from selling "shovels" to IH that want to copy her success than with her actual Telegram channels. I've fall in this trap before. Don't be like me 😊

Hi, I'm Kwadwo - born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark - now living in Barcelona, Spain. Experience with Indie Hacking - I've built a bunch of stuff that wasn't worth it, and have two projects thats been around for years, and generates a bit of annual profit; Signkit.io and Bookey.io - I also used to participate in the IndieHacker meetups in Copenhagen some years ago. Background - I have a IT, and a Design & Comms background, have been working for or building my own startups since 2004 Currently, I run a company that focuses on building cash-flow B2B SaaS businesses, drawing inspiration from the IH & Solo founder community, although we operate as a startup studio. We believe in practicing things like building in public, and our main focus is on building a product that can make us profitable as soon as possible, rather than focusing on raising rounds.
