@Stephanie Glover I have a Luna too! But mine’s a gray pit mix; she looks (and sounds) intimidating, but is, in fact, afraid of her own shadow 😏

I’d actually prefer to start with understanding the AI landscape, and learning about the key players in the field.

@Christopher Tavolazzi it’s all good 😊. Learning to actually use the tools that are currently available is certainly also something I’m interested in!
Hey everyone!
I was wondering what people’s takes are on the field of prompt engineering. Does it seem like a job that is worth pursuing? I don’t know how to code or anything on the back end of computer science and programming, but I’m really great at understanding and communicating with LLM’s, getting them to output what I’m looking for while understanding their limitations and strong points. I also don’t even have a PC and do almost all of my interactions and computing on my phone, so I recognize that I need to tackle that obstacle as well and build or buy one, but I was wondering if Christopher or anyone who has more experience in the field could help me figure out if prompt engineering is a career path that is worth really trying to dive into, or if it will be an obsolete job once AI and LLM’s are more of a commonplace in our day to day lives and interacting with them are kind of second nature and comes naturally. Excited to see what this platform turns into, what conversations we have here and what classes start to look like!

Hi Shane - I’m definitely not someone knowledgeable in the field, so I can’t answer your question, but I would think it may depend on exactly how far along things are. I do recall reading in the relatively recent past (within the last few years) that prompt engineers were a thing that was highly sought, however, I don’t know just how quickly things are progressing, or if that is something that will continue to be needed, especially since it sounds like now we’re on the edge of ai. Ewing able to make its own decisions and train itself. I’m sure that there have been far greater advancements than the general public is aware of. That said, I am looking forward to diving into all of this with everyone!
Introduction
Hi, my name is Katie, I am a manufacturing engineer working in a factory that produces small engines. I feel like these robots are a sign that we need to protect everyone’s basic human rights.

@Katie Schumaker I absolutely agree with the points you’ve made here. We’re coming to (or are already at) a tipping point.
👋
I am making a game that will run on agentic ai. Glad to be here

This does sound cool. My family is big into games, so I’m curious to know what an agentic ai game would look like
