@Nicholas Lawrence wow ๐. super inspiring. I am putting that kind of effort in to running a business with my father in the near future, not producing. For me, producing is a hobby and I occasionally will share my work with the general public. If someone stumbles across my music and likes it to the point where they want to give me a placement, then so be it. it would be super cool to be a producer full time, but I don't see that being a feasible reality for me in my life. am I being lazy with producing? maybe, but like I said I am putting in the hours of my day into school and building work ethic that will grow a business.

Intro
Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm super excited to be a part of this group. I am a 17yo producer and have been producing since I was 13(?). I currently go by the producer name of K@TCHUP. I love making all kinds of genres of music, but mainly hiphop/rap, trap, rage, and jazz rap beats. I use Logic Pro, and I am supper happy with how things turn out using it. I'm always open to new tips and tricks on how to use it better. Kanye West is for sure my greatest inspiration, but also Mike Dean, Tyler The Creator, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and producer Losoe are also inspirations of mine. hey guys, this is my most recent beat I made. no loops were used, it's 100% original. Im looking for feedback on mixing and mastering, perks, and melody flow. there is not a ton of room for vocals becuase it not really that kind of beat. I'm looking for any rappers who are trying to hop on it, and I can easily make room for vocals.

hey man, nice beat! I really like that piano melody you chose, and those string fit in pretty nicely. I think you could have done more with your 808's/bass. maybe change the key around or something because they stay in the same note for the entire duration of the song. I only say this because it will keep the listener engaged alot more in your beat and prevent boredom. also, there is an over saturation in beats like these that just have the same basic 808 pattern that never changes. idk. something to think abt at least!
