@Alexa M Ok so the initial entry for this trade was suppose to be at the top where price made an impulsive to the downside, however, I only trade NY Session (NY Session is where price is moving within the Red Zone) So once NY Session came in I had to wait for a proper entry thats where price Broke & Retested that level of Resistance/Support. So that's why my entry is all the way down there. Let me know if you understand.

@Alexa M Ok so its all based on Market Structure, Now lets say price is in an uptrend and your using the 1H time frame, in this case you enter a buy position on XAU/USD you'd be looking to place your SL at the 1H Higher Low Structure Point right? But, However, if your trading with the trend in some cases you wouldn't need to have such a big SL, Instead what you could do is Scale down to a smaller timeframe such as the 5 Min and look for Better structure point to place your SL which would give you a Better Risk/Reward/Ratio. @Jason Scott Well in terms of confirmation their isn't really a specific time frame to look at because confirmation can come from all timeframe, Me personally thou when i'm taking trades i look for confirmation on 1hr, 15m, 5m and sometimes the 30m and u can also go higher too such as 4h or even the daily.
