Dog excitement
Any tips for dog induced excitement? Whenever Atlas sees another dog he stares at it and really wants to go play, which he obviously, can’t do. Today at work another (thankfully real!) SD team came in and Atlas was soooo distracted. He attempted to excited whine super quietly too but I stopped that real quick. I had to turn the e collar all the way up to HI to get him to focus on me when in a heel and even then he was constantly looking for or at the other dog who was way across the building. We walked the other way and he was in a down he still faced the direction of the dog no matter what I did. Did some sneak aways which helped a little, but I’ve never felt like he was super focused around dogs he doesn’t know. Around ASA dogs at training he is great because he knows them. Any suggestions are welcome!

@Amanda Taulborg Thank you ma’am!
Paw to alert question
Hey! Since Atlas is doing a paw to alert rather than a nudge, how should I go about getting him consistently pawing? Right now he is just placing his paw on my leg when I ask and then releasing it when I mark with “yes”. He can do it whether I’m sitting or standing and whether he is sitting or standing. We haven’t tried outside in the real world yet. P.s. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

@Amanda Taulborg Like how with a nudge for his interruption behavior, he nudges until I stop doing the behavior. With pawing he is doing it once, but will do it again if I ask
