Dark Elf Mage Portraits in Nightcafe Studio
I'm going to start sharing more of my Nightcafe Studio work + prompts. Here's one from a few months ago with the SDXL 1.0 model. I also ran another generation this evening using the DreamShaper XL alpha2 model. Same prompt, but varying refiner settings. Prompt: full head and shoulders portrait, ultra detailed dark elven mage, character render, front view, symmetry, realistic, symmetrical design, front camera view, straight on camera, cg, unreal engine, octane render, fantasy, science fiction, cinematic lighting, intricate details Negative Prompt: ugly, tiling, poorly drawn hands, poorly drawn feet, poorly drawn face, out of frame, extra limbs, disfigured, deformed, body out of frame, blurry, bad anatomy, blurred, watermark, grainy, signature, cut off, draft SDXL settings: Initial Resolution: Medium Runtime: Short Seed: 355684708 Overall Prompt Weight: 100% Refiner Weight: 55% Sampling method: K_DPMPP_2M DreamShaper settings: Initial Resolution: Medium Runtime: Short Seed: 721990825 Overall Prompt Weight: 85% Refiner Weight: 5% Sampling method: K_DPMPP_2M First image: SDXL model Second image: DreamShaper XL alpha2 model First thing you'll notice is the first image, and some of the Dreamshaper ones, are not actually dark elves - I've found most of the models on every platform don't handle dark skin well unless you get REALLY specific in your prompt (or you're using an input image). So I added "dark ebony skin" to the prompt (see third image) and got this result out of DreamShaper. You can also add "purple skin" as is often depicted in Dark Elf art, or if you want to be accurate to the Drow from D&D, use jet-black or dark grey. (I don't use "Drow" in my prompts since WOTC is very protective of their trademarks...). Fourth image: added "dark gray skin and white hair" to the prompt in DreamShaper. Gray tones don't always work in most of the platforms, btw - I've found it a little difficult to get consistency here using only prompts. I'm going to take this one a bit further and try it out in Midjourney, Starry, and Leo tonight. I'll post my results in the replies.
