When I was younger, I carried a weight of bitterness. I'd snap, judge, and was quick to think the world was against me. Deep down, I wasn't happy with myself, though I hadn't yet realized it. I was missing a crucial understanding of happiness, acceptance, and owning my life's outcomes. One transformative day, my father looked me in the eye and said, "Rhonda, if you continue this way, you'll never truly value yourself." But he made me see that success wasn't just about personal achievements. He said, "The world reflects what we give. Right now, that chip on your shoulder is your biggest obstacle." Then he gave me a challenge. He told me to imagine holding buckets of happiness and to splash that joy onto everyone I met as I walked. To my surprise, after trying it out, the world greeted me with warmth and smiles. From then on, I committed to a happier, more positive perspective. My journey led me to books like "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale and "The Celestine Prophecy". Today, our family's motto is: "Happiness Is a Choice, and its only Found Within, so open it up and splash as many people as you can in your path.” This "Happy Bucket Challenge" changed my life, and now my families, and had become a global movement. I used to share it on stage with thousands of people…. I think it’s time to bring it back out. What do you think? Growing up, I was always the tough one, the thick skin girl. The girl that wanted to do be the best, and do everything right, I was a “jock” and a perfectionist. . For some reason, this alpha female, powerhouse energy and hard core attitude- I didn't have a ton of girlfriends and wasn't always included in the typical "girlie girl clicks". . Now, growing up as an adult heart ❤️core businesswoman, a lot has changed. I work with about 70% women. Although, I still relate to and work with men much easier than with women in business. . I think it's because I do my best to get over things really fast, don't hold grudges or have an ego for being right. . Learning to detach emotion, energy and limiting beliefs from decisions I make in business has served me well over time. . You see, when you add personal emotions into an argument or business negotiation you lose perspective, and people lose respect. . As women, we often make superficial judgments of other women too quickly and then actively pursue this judgment in the way we treat them or acknowledge them. . This is NOT real feminism. . But, there is one thing that I have learned... . No matter what... when ego-free, powerful women come together they create magic and change the world. . When they hold onto stories, limiting beliefs and blame they create a mass distraction and in the end poor results . So, while I believe it’s important to voice our opinions and continue to have the platforms that enable us to do so, we need to find a better way than the constant bickering we have now. . A woman’s natural gifts of nurturing, sensitivity, compassion, and empathy are our strengths and bring elements to the table than embrace the uniqueness that makes us who we are, just as it does for men. . We can provide opinions without being rude, we can stand up for ourselves without shouting over everyone else, and we can guide and empower other women without dominating or criticizing them. . So, my intention and IMPACT for everyone to take away from this post is….
