Insanity Samples Review
Hey everyone Happy Holidays to those who observe, I’m excited to share that I’m working with the Sampleist now to help spread the word about some cool sample libraries and plugins and stuff like that. They’re a cool group of real nice guys and my first review is officially up and running as of a couple hours ago! These were 2 cool libraries to work with too. If you’re curious, here’s the link to give it a peek on their YouTube channel 👀 https://youtu.be/VNvfJn8mYZM?si=lJEHS_TdWIRF0vKN

I often watch The Sampleist's reviews. Great stuff, and I like some of Insanity Sample's instruments. Haunted strings 2 is my favourite of theirs. Love to see you review Dark Intervals as a 'spotlight' on their libraries. They somehow make some of the cleanest sounds. Their libraries are fairly small, but if you get their bundles, I see it as one big library. Xperimenta is another fantastic, smaller developer that deserves a spotlight.
Happy New Year
Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and a big cheers to further growth and success! 🍻🎉

Happy New Year!
Happy holidays to you all!
You are all probably already in preparations for the upcoming holidays and hopefully in chill mode soon! Just quickly wanted to wish you guys happy holidays and a great start into 2025! I also wanted to say thank you again to everyone joining this community. This all would be nothing without you! When I started the Audio Artist Academy in around the summer time of 2024 I would have never thought that we would be 1300 members strong. And the best part is, I honestly never ever have experienced a music community with an almost non-existing amount of toxicity! You rock! Stay as you are and here’s to a new year full of opportunities, projects, career paths and money! Cheerio, Alex

Choir Inquire...
Any choir library out there that can come close to the one in Edward Scissorhands Ice Dance? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVHo4HNqKjM&t=40s It has a Christmasy feeling. I'm not an expert or anything on choirs, should I be looking for a smaller sized choir, bigger, or what (to get close to the Ice Dance sound)? Also, what do you think the arrangement is that was used, all female, or male/female, or child, or possibly all three?

The best in my own libraries is EastWest's Fantasy Voices. The women's choir "Oo" layered with the solo vocal "Oh" and both set to the 'Soft Mood' works really well (I just tried it). Up to you if you layer it with a low volume male vocal too, but probably not needed. 8DO have some really nice libraries for this type of choral work too and I'm sure there's plenty from Orchestral Tools and other companies. As for the size of choir, picture what you see when you think of Christmassy singing - It's usually pretty small, but depends on taste. One to check out though is Vocal Textures 2 from Crocus Soundware. I want this myself. It may not be as "playable" as other choir libraries. They say as much on their site because it's not designed for complicated passages etc, but it has an ethereal quality like no other and you can layer it with a separate solo vocal (Maybe from Ethera Atlantis for example) to gain more melody and such. I recently bought Spirited Flutes from them and it's a wonderful, multi-textured instrument. Highly recommend, especially when on sale.

@Carlo Filingeri You're welcome. Yes, there seems to be a "1st chair" vocalist who creates a bit of texture just floating on top of the soft choral-type main body. I would recommend Atlantis 3 for this and use the Hybrid Vocals patch or a sustain for that kind of movement. Layering libraries is key ;)
Cpu upgrade?
I want to upgrade my PC and get something like the AMD 7950X or a comparable Intel i9 or i7. Which one would you recommend for music production?

Personally, I'd go for AMD. Generally they're better on power consumption and require less hardcore cooling systems. I have a humble 5800X with a decent enough tower cooler and it's never given me any issues for my orchestral work. Intel or AMD will both be fantastic at those top level skews. It just depends on the rest of your rig and what you pair them with.
