I have been doing this concept of a Temple dancer, I still need to do the back view and a dynamic pose but I was thinking if this front view is rendered enough or I need to tone it down, I have been seeing references of character sheets and it goes from super rendered even if is concept and some are more "freestyle" with rough brushwork.
Personally I would render the bigger design and make the values stronger. The other designs I would stick to line and cel shading. That's what I've been doing so far. Btw the piece is unfinished. just to give u an idea of what I mean.
Finally got around to finishing this piece. Iβve been working on it once a week in 30 minute spurts for like 3 months now and just decided to finish it up today. Forced myself to finally design his sleeve, too. Overall productive draw session.
Hey everyone! Iβve been drawing daily for the last few weeks. Just small concept sketches and a bit of figure drawing too. Whatβs everyoneβs daily drawing routines? Looking to shake it up a little bit!
For me , I have 2 hours with my mentor for 4 days a week. The mentorship happens right after I wake up so just right into it. After that I'll take a rest then do my daily routine. For Monday and Tuesday , I draw at least 10 figures per day. And finish whatever I have to finish or develop. For Wednesday and Thursday , I do master studies. These days I'm studying Even Amundsen and Black Myth Concept artists. I usually redraw what they draw and try to understand them. Even if I paint I'll only paint like 65% of how they did. Then of course continue my projects. For friday , I take a break but not completely. I don't focus and stress myself too much. For Saturday and Sunday , I would go back to basics like Perspective , Foreshortening muscles , surfaces , dimensions and scales.
