@Chris Castellano I've never seen a map like that. That would be cool! If you find it, please share. I know some of the search engines like homes.com and reading have options to search on price per sq ft, and there are sights you can search the home data for a city which will give you the average price per sq ft, I don't pay too much attention to that. So much more goes into the evaluation of a house. Plus the total sq ft of the house can effect the price per sq ft depending on the market of that area. Solid comps are the best way to get a accurate evaluation. Are you using any apps like propstream to look up houses you are considering?

If anyone does know of an app or sight that will let you see the average price per sq ft for an area, please share. I can see it being useful. Just don't rely on it alone to judge the value of a house.
Hey y’all!
Anyone have advice on how to obtain information on outstanding mortgage balances at neglected properties as part of the due diligence in advance of engaging distressed homeowners? Thanks in advance!

Outside of a status request being sent to the mortgage company by a title company or RE attorney, I'm not sure of any public services that can provide that information. You can use a service like propstream or ownerly to find mortgage and lien information, but that's about it, that I know of. If you have a relationship with a title agent or RE attorney that's probably your best bet.
