Monday Morning Vibes (January 6th Edition)
This is the RETURN of my Monday morning series where I share random thoughts on my mind every Monday to help prepare your hearts and minds to win the week. And today I want to talk about what I call my Winning Edge Formula...and besides my faith, this is the one thing MOST responsible for any level of success Iāve created in my life. From being a college football walk-on to earning a scholarship my sophomore yearā¦ To having a marriage on the brink of divorce to THRIVINGā¦ To becoming the present father my children deserveā¦ Form quitting my full time job forever, retiring my wife, and building our dream homesteadā¦ and everything in between! Itās all possible because of this simple formula: SMALL, UNCOMFORTABLE ACTIONS + TIME + CONSISTENCY = MASSIVE RESULTS. Thatās literally itā¦ Itās about showing up each day and doing the hard thingā¦ The thing thatās usually most uncomfortable for us is the step we should be taking to grow as people and move our lives forward. Do you need to have a hard talk about finances with your spouse? Do you need to admit you were wrong and have an honest conversation with your kid or friend or co-worker? Do you need to start walking daily to get yourself back into shape so you can set foot in a gym? Do you need to show up to serve your spouse in a way they feel loved even though they have hurt you? Do you need to establish those boundaries with your boss and say you wonāt be answering email on the weekends anymore unless youāre paid for it? Do you need to choose water over diet mountain dew? Do you need to invest in a mentor who is where you want to be and accomplished what you desire to accomplish most? Whatever it is for youā¦ The next step you need to take will require you to get a little bit uncomfortable... Take that step anyway! Then show up the next day to get just a little bit uncomfortable againā¦ And then the next dayā¦ Then the nextā¦ Then the nextā¦ Thatās how winning long term happens. By taking the small seemingly insignificant steps in each moment.
