@Timothy Smith and do you ever deal with smell. Am trying to build a compost system and was reading that the reason a compost pile smells is because it’s in excess of proteins(from greens) and this causes an excess amount of ammonium and nitrogen gas to be produced giving off the bad smell.

And do the fire ant just get in the way or do they mess up the compost
Mulching??
What mulch do you use? Do you use mulch? I use straw because it's easy to get bales and it's easy to spread. The only thing I don't like is I feel like it takes a long time to start to break down into the soil.

@Timothy Smith With mulch do you let the grass clipping and things like leaves dry out before using as mulch?

Makes sense. I know were ending off the growing season. How do get prepared for the winter? Do you crimp your plant and mulch?
Desertification
Did you know? The drought in Africa in the 1970s caused the movement from the Untied Nations Environment Programme to develop The Action Plan of 1977 to deal with global desertification.
