Over the last 4 years ive been able to make so many mistakes that I look back on and REALLY wish I hadnt. But on the brightside, that allows me to help others not make the same mistakes and, in turn, speed up their progress. If you want to start making progress in the easiest way possible, then find people that know what theyre doing already and just ask them questions. Whether that is a gymgoes that you know from work or someone you meet online, the best way to catalyze your progress is by learning from the mistakes of other people.
