Futures Question
Still very new to futures trading, and trying to understand how the market works. I know the stock exchange is from 0930 - 1600 M - F, but what is the futures exchange hours? I’ve read it’s Sunday to Friday with breaks in between? Would someone mind helping me out? Thanks!

@Mark Mylan Alright, so the futures market runs Sunday from 6pm until Monday at 5pm where it closes, then reopens Monday at 6pm so on and so forth until Friday at 5pm where it remains closed until Sunday at 6pm. Do I have that right?

@Mark Mylan thank you for clearing that up for me. I appreciate it
Supply and Demand Practice Attempt 2
Here I go again. Any critique or advice would be appreciated greatly as I try to understand where these are suppose to go. This chart is from 03 Dec to today (12 Dec) on ES ticker. I drew the supply and demand zones as the days went on and stopped the boxes when the price broke though (in actuality I would remove the boxes but just for practice I’ll leave them in so everyone can see my thought process)

Supply and Demand Practice Attempt 2

@Kyle Henris what are the yellow zones you’ve marked? I haven’t proceeded to the big money playbook pt2 because I wanted to make sure I understood supply and demand identification so if it’s covered later on I apologize.

@Kyle Henris sorry in advance for so many questions, I’m just trying to understand how you’re seeing these. I noticed you did not mark the area in white as a demand and instead marked the areas in orange as demand zones is there a reason for this, and for splitting that demand zone into two? Last question, the supply and demand zones in blue are ones I marked but you did not. I know they were almost immediately broken through, but how did you realize they weren’t supply and demand blocks as they were happening?
Supply and Demand Practice
Apologies in advance, I’m attempting this on my phone which has proven to be more difficult than I thought. The pictures are taken from left to right from 25 Nov until 6 Dec as I try to pick out areas of institutional supply and demand. I’ve also circled areas where the price returned to the block, resulting in situations I think trades should have been placed. Would someone mind looking this over and letting me know if I’m on the right track or not? Thank you for the input.

@Aramis Kudryashov I have another question about my chart. I was going back through your video and trying to follow along on my chart to see what you see, but my chart looks different than yours and it’s affecting where my blocks look like they should be placed. Starting at the 25 Nov as before, the first supply block is placed, but I noticed that you took the bottom of the previous green candle wick and the top of the red candle wick. I drew mine the same, and in your video the run up that follows does not break through your supply block, but on my chart it does break through regardless of if I take the top of the adjacent green or red candle (the supply block is drawn like yours from the top of the red candle and my cursor is at the top of the green adjacent candle) which, from what I understand, would eliminate that supply block and signal a demand block at the start of the move. Is there something wrong with my chart? Is there a way to make the big moves stand out more?

@Aramis Kudryashov thank you for taking the time to post an updated video I can follow along with. I really appreciate it and I will keep practicing!

During my time in the Navy, I had a shipmate who was a day trader. I had been investing for about 7 years at the time, all long term investments, and I had done okay, making about 10-15k in unrealized gains. I always believed day trading was basically gambling and stayed as far away as I could from it. I watched my shipmate make 30k in a week. He payed off his house at 26 and payed cash for a brand new Tesla. He managed to consistently bring in profits which proved to me that it was possible. Time has always been my goal, I want to decide how I spend it, instead of trading the most valuable currency I have for just enough to get by.
