First community post - Email Quality vs. Value Proposition
Hey guys, I am playing around with ListKit this week and I really like the software. I haven't actually tested it's core functionality yet, but will get to that in the future. I am not a B2B Marketer, so excuse any ignorance, but my question is the following: - let's say you are selling something that is in a highly competitive market like a Digital Marketing Agency - you create a list on ListKit and blast out the email - it doesn't perform well (hypothetically) - how do you determine whether or not it is because the email was bad (or average) OR whether or not it is just not an interesting enough Value Proposition to the prospect? I ask this because in my experience, when I receive a lot of these types of cold emails, most of them are just not very well-targeted Value Propositions. Furthermore, after looking through a lot of the ListKit leads manually, a lot of websites look the same and say the same thing in each sector. In other words, with a generic offering being sold by an average firm, why bother responding? In this light, what amount of emails would one typically use as a litmus test of whether or not an offering is worth scaling up? Is it a better strategy to send out a small amount progressively to start? For transparency, I myself am not actually selling anything yet, just learning.

Learning sales and outreach for B2B. My main site (lumosbusiness.com) has nothing to do with B2B.
