Need ideas on distortion pedal
I have ds1w and proco rat 2, just looking for ideas on different pedals. Sound I'm looking for is more of a Zakk wylde. I do like the crunch channel on Marshall pushed by tube screamer. Was also wondering about the blues driver and boss super overdrive. (zakk uses) One can go broke just buying pedals. Inputs annnnndddd GO!

@Cliff Flurry let me know what you think about that DOD it’s always been my personal favorite. That’s why I pack it away if I’m not actively performing. I don’t want to waste it, since they don’t make it anymore. But it’s all about personal taste.

@Cliff Flurry personal I feel like ‘and just for all’ was the last great album. There’s not one song of theirs I don’t like from justice for all and older. I lost interest once the black album dropped. Cliff really brought a lot to the table, and justice for all the just dropped the bass and played it the way they would have with Cliff.
Hello!
Hi folks! I picked up guitar during COVID times, self-learned a few melodies and licks. Then I gave up on guitar because it started causing shoulder and elbow pain in the strumming arm, despite doing arm warm up before playing the guitar. I am back at it because it felt good to play. I hope to be better at it, so I can play among friends.

I totally understand the pain. Unless there is more to it (like with me, I’m disabled) I think you might just need to slow down during part of your practice time and focus primarily on relaxing. I know most of my pain on my strumming side is due to playing tense. After spending some time practicing relaxed at lower tempo's I was able to play even faster long term. I’m sure there’s a video on YouTube that can help, but honestly, if you pick something mind numbingly easy to play, you can focus on where and when (ie what tempo) you begin to tense up, then just make a conscious effort to relax.
100 watt 2 channel amp head?
Asking here to see if someone knows the answer to this question. 100 watt 2 channel amp head unit, is it 100 watts per channel or 100 watts combined? Back of amp says 100 watts at 4 ohms, that's it. Trying to figure this out cause I may wire the cab for stereo. 2 speakers on one output and 2 for other output. Obviously if it is 100 per channel it's to much for just 2 speakers. By channel I'm talking about the 2 outputs for a full stack. Thanks

I agree, I believe it is 100 watts total output.
Show: Freaks on Parade
Wifey and I got last minute tickets to Rob Zombies Freaks on Parade show last night which included Filter, Ministry, Alice Cooper, and Rob Zombie. Great show and I was super stoked to see Alice as I’ve been fan since my father handed me Alice Cooper Bands Greatest hits on 8 track as a tot (yes I’m that old) Alice has Nita Strauss touring with him on guitar and she impressed me in both playing ability and pure energy. You could tell she was having a blast. Bonus she’s an Ibanez gal and was sporting several S Series. Check her out if you get a chance she has a solo album out. Some photos

Nut replacement
How do I replace the nut on my Gibson S.G. Is this a simple fix I can do myself or should I take it to a guitar luthier.
