Welcome to the crew🤙🏻
Need a tweak
I have a problem with my release….can somebody help me understand the moment between pulling against the power and the release? I have tried rally style and Ollie style and everything in between and I can’t get it right🤦🏻🤷🏻‍♂️. The second video is the best I ever have done

This is my 4th year but sometimes don’t get to water kite for months. Then take it to the snow on skis which was really good to learn kite control because you can just stand up if you crash. Kite community is small (maybe 300)and spread out over a very large state. Surprisingly close knit considering we all sometimes drive 3 hrs just to meet up. A lot more wingers than kiters now. A bunch of us head over to Hood River Oregon pretty often to get the good wind and fully stoked atmosphere.

Just finally got out last weekend….I have the quicker pull and pop away from the kite. But when I dig that deep it feels like by board gets stuck and I can’t release it from the water. I feel that my move to break the board away from it edge is wrong🤦🏻🤷🏻‍♂️

Hood River Oregon in spring and early summer. Gets some huge swell for wingers and foil sups to ride forever. Nice wind for 8-10m kites normally. Then to La Ventana in January. Neither place is paradise but the wind at both is magical🤙🏻

@Jake Kelsick 6 hrs…..I normally take off Thursday evening and crash halfway and then get there around 11 AM when the wind flow is good and established. Last time I was there it was 3 days in a row of 6m weather😎

The combined harmony and occasional battle with or against nature….the challenge and bond of just you and nature doing something that is graceful and elegant or intense and frightening. Kiting and winging is all on the individual to make their own experience. It is control and lack of control at the same time. Very few sports in the world give you that kind of reality🤷🏻‍♂️🤙🏻
Breaking 7meters
Finally got back on the water today, but I’m stuck at the 5-7 meters mark. Any tips on getting to the 10m height?

Chris what I have learned (and can’t do 😳) you send it fast enough that you start to release just before 12 and by the time you leave the water you are one click past. If that is wrong I would love to be corrected🤷🏻‍♂️
