Here are my steps in site migration. 1. Add both domains(old and new domains) and verify them in Google Search Console. 2. Scrate all URLs in Google Sheets with their URLs, page titles, and meta descriptions. 3. Create a subdomain dev domain on the new website. Can you name it dev.domain.com or test.domain.com 4. Before moving content from the old domain to the new dev site, check that this test domain is not indexable. 5. After migrating content to the test domain, check if everything is normal - site search, URLs, web logins, accounts, etc. 6. Move all content to the main domain if everything with the dev domain is good and works. 7. Create 301 redirects of all inner URLs of the old domain to the new one. Check if the main domain is indexable. 8. Wait for a few days and check if they work correctly. You can track and server logs for errors. 9. From the GSC, redirect the old domain to the new one.
