Boreham Launches Mk1 Ford Escort RS with 10,000-RPM Redline!
Boreham Motorworks has unveiled the Mk1 Ford Escort RS2000 as a limited-production continuation model, officially licensed by Ford. Dubbed the "continumod," it combines period-accurate styling with modern engineering. - Performance: Powered by a 2.1-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, the car produces 296 horsepower and features a remarkable 10,000-RPM redline. A base 1.8-liter twin-cam engine delivering 182 horsepower is also available. The high-performance version includes a five-speed dogleg manual gearbox. - Weight Advantage: At a lightweight 1764 pounds—significantly lighter than most modern sports cars—the Escort Mk1 promises exhilarating handling and performance. - Design and Features: While maintaining the original's clean lines, the car incorporates modern touches like carbon-fiber panels, Alcantara and leather interiors, a roll cage, and a minimalist infotainment system with air conditioning. - Exclusivity: Only 150 units will be produced, each starting at $375,000. The cars come with a two-year/20,000-mile warranty, with production beginning in late 2025. This continuation model pays homage to the classic Escort while delivering cutting-edge performance and exclusivity.

OK, let’s talk. This is really I want to see nowadays about cars and manufacturers making revivals. Don’t wanna see Jaguar going woke and the last M5 weighting as much as a pregnant rhinoceros. This is what other manufacturers have to get inspired off. Kimera Automobili for example is making for a few years now modern version of the Lancia 037. Old cars have so much to offer and making a revival of it is the best choice you can make as a manufacturer. Evolving to the future but getting inspired by the past
A thank you to the community
I want to give props to this community for how helpful it is! The info in the classroom is formatted so that even complete beginners can start to easily (and quickly) grasp basic concepts. It is so hard to find an all-in-one type of resource to learn how to fix pretty much anything on your car. Everything I have gone through so far, is super accurate and to-the-point so you're not wasting time reading or trying to comprehend the automotive jargon. I appreciate how direct and easy-to-understand the material is. @Louis Kerkhove has been super helpful, as well. Every time I have gone to him requesting reference material that you can only get from a professional mechanic, he has produced exactly what I need in a matter of hours. Thank you for developing this community and working so hard to keep it active! If you're looking to join an automotive group on this platform (or any other platform), this is where you want to be.

@Ashley Ayers yeah you’re right, this community really helped me a lot also. Wanted to also thank @Louis Kerkhove for that, helped improve my communication skills and my mechanical jargon comprehension in English (that isn’t my first language by the way), and who’s became a friend along the way. 👌🏾👍

Hello everyone so to speak of these new change I don’t think that Jaguar ready did a good choice on that specially that design department that valid that change because now the brain is looking like a random yogurt company I don’t know something too simple on my opinion. And to finish, I think that’s a perfect example of our new generation of vehicles and mobility like everything is kind of aseptic, clean and pure and like you know like Tesla and s**** like that. For example, the last change of Peugeot on their logo ready made the difference because they we were inspired by the past so they carry all the history of the brand, but what Jaguar did on this that they kind of erase all the history of the brand. And I also heard that they plan to switch to all electric vehicles…
