I wasn't expecting this at all... I was having a stressful evening working on a customer car, and my phone kept pinging and pinging and pinging... It turns out a rapper has invested in 21 separate instrumental tracks for an album. I'm not sure what he's spent but this further proves the power of investing in yourself, perfecting your craft, and putting the music out. There are a lot of instrumentals I have made that I don't even like, but I put them all out regardless. This year alone I have released 360 instrumental tracks... and that is the amount of work required to get noticed. I have instrumental album after instrumental album.. on and on and on and on... My advise is to release the music. People will eventually notice. For example if you create a story on Instagram or Facebook and click the music button, then type Nicholas Lawrence you will see how much work I've been doing in the background. Bricks is right... making the beats is the easy part, however regarding promo I don't do a lot. I use Instagram like Bricks, making the odd reel, and I upload stories promoting new beats. Other than that I don't do anything. I promote more than one business on my instagram page and that probably resonates with company owners, because they can see the work rate. Its not just music sales. I sell earbuds, IEM ear hooks with zero latency, I made my own drumkit VST, I've got a one shot pack that people buy, and that's all on my website. Aside from that I also work on car and vans, tuning engines and doing diagnostics. I also set up budget studio setups similar to my own. I have also been selling nearfield monitors in the UK and they are doing well with sales, but not as good as the IEM's and earbuds. I think everyone can succeed in the music business. Just keep working at it. November 2022 is when I first flew to Atlanta and got cussed out in the studio by LOADS of producers, but I didn't let it phase me. I came back BETTER the second time and J Beats realized I ain't a quitter.
