Hope you’re having a wonderful day!
Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking a lot about the parallels between raising healthy kids and caring for our pets, especially when it comes to natural approaches. In both cases, we focus on preventive care, nutrition, and creating safe environments. What natural remedies or routines have you found beneficial for pets that you think could apply to human health as well? Are there any overlaps in your approach to caring for pets and kids that you’ve noticed? Especially the young kiddos. I work primarily with preschool to kindergartners so you can just imagine unless you have your own the struggles of getting fruits and veggies and just being completely natural can be. I know starting early in life helps, but what about for parents wanting to maybe transition everyone in the household. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day!!💜

DIY Pet Care Attempts
Good afternoon everyone! I wanted to start by expressing how much i appreciate this community and what we are all here for. We are all doing great things and im blessed to be a part of this and to be given an opportunity to do what i love while educating and learning from others. A couple years ago i found 2 cats in a dirty leaf pile crying and screaming. After a couple days of checking on them, i realized they were not being cared for and that i would have to step up and lead these cats to a better life. At first i had no idea how much time and money i would be spending on these cats but it ultimately brought me closer to what i love doing, caring for animals. After a while i started trying to make home remedies to help cost and their overall health. My invention was a rosemary flea/tick spray that was SUPPOSED to help with the problem but unfortunately it did not although it made them smell really nice. In the end i was proud of myself for even trying to create something and it pushed me closer to my true passion of helping animals in a natural way. Im wondering if any of you guys have tried to make an at-home remedy for your animals, what it was for, and how well did it work? Im hoping we can gather some new ideas from eachother! Hope everyone is having a great day! (:

Honestly, dawn dish soap is the best for those pesky fleas! Feel free to add a little rosemary afterwards but, for kittens I would rub a ring of the soap around their necks to help prevent any more fleas from traveling up their face and then using the dawn soap and some warm water to wash their body to get rid of the rest. Obviously be careful of their mucus membranes but that gets rid of them pretty quickly. Once they’re totally dry I will go back over and make sure there are no more fleas and then sprinkle a little dusting of diatomaceous earth on them just in case which is of course holistic. For my bigger cats and stuff I do the same thing and then might also give a capstar depending on the severity of the fleas. I will just thoroughly check the body over for any ticks and remove them if found but that’s about it! Usually don’t spend any money for the dawn since most of us have it already and then DE (food grade) is also pretty cheap or you can always ask Doc for a little and I’m sure she’d be happy to give you some!

Understanding the Growing Role of Robotics in Veterinary Medicine: Future Implications for Holistic Pet Care
Hey Future Vets! 🌿 As we continue to push the boundaries of veterinary care, it’s essential that we stay informed about emerging technologies, especially robotics, and how they could impact our field. Recently, I came across a fascinating article that dives deep into the rising influence of robotics in various industries. While most examples focus on manufacturing and automation, the crossover to veterinary medicine is happening faster than we think. Imagine robotic arms assisting in precise surgeries or AI-powered machines monitoring the health of your patients 24/7. These tools could not only enhance the accuracy of treatments but also allow us to integrate holistic solutions in more effective ways. 🌱 For example, a robotic device could administer acupuncture more consistently than human hands ever could. 🤖💡 As we discuss these innovations, think about the future role of holistic-focused technologies in your veterinary practice. We’re at the forefront of a technological evolution, and understanding these advancements will set you apart as a forward-thinking vet. Key Takeaways: 1. Robotics in Surgery: Tools like robotic arms can ensure higher precision during operations, reducing the risk of human error. 2. Monitoring Systems: AI-driven monitoring tools will provide real-time insights into a pet’s health, allowing for more personalized and preventative care. 3. Holistic Tech: Emerging robotic technologies may one day assist with holistic treatments like acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and more. Let’s stay curious and explore how we can integrate these advancements while staying true to our holistic roots. Who knows—your future practice could be a perfect blend of ancient healing techniques and cutting-edge robotics! What do you think about robotics in vet medicine? Let’s discuss below! 💬👇 #FutureVets #VeterinaryMedicine #RoboticsInVetCare #HolisticVet #InnovativePetCare #EmergingTech #AIandPets

I think it would be extremely helpful! I know when I had my major surgery they used robotic arms. Not only does it make the surgery less invasive because the cuts don’t need to be as big since the instruments are being handled by whatever size robot is wanted or needed, but makes it more precise. Imagine how perfect the sutures would be! Obviously nobody really cares about scars on their pets as long as they are now safe and doing better but it’s still cosmetically appealing to not see huge scars or a botched sew line!

Hi! I’m Imani. I’m the daughter of an extraordinary Holisitc Veterinarian. I’m currently working as a preschool teacher which is a lot of fun but I also dog sit on the side. I have gone to a few schools now but primarily aimed towards teaching. When I was younger, becoming a vet was something I’d always wanted to do, and while I still love animals and love helping people when I can with my vast knowledge of vet med, I’ve decided to go more into teaching. I am always interested in learning more ways to help out our 4 legged (plus or minus some feet) pets!
