*Taps mic* Hello, I'm Ikem from Kingston, Jamaica, and I've been a motion designer, editor, animator, director for music videos for over a decade. I've ideated and executed music videos from clients with thousands and millions of views on youtube, and brought significantly difficult concepts to life multiple times, with low and no budgets. I've also struggled for just as long to create things for myself that I feel proud of. I've sat on short films, music and youtube projects for over a decade. Sometimes because my imagination surpassed my skill set. Other times, it was the overthinking, second guessing, feelings of cringe and underwhelm that did me in. You've probably heard the phrase, "done is better than perfect". Poignant and true. But what if you aren't sure where to start. Or if the the done thing, seems ok but just isn't hitting? It's my belief that the most affecting and satisfying media comes from deep, affecting sources. And finishing something that you really care about, it way easier than something that is just so so.
