Have a nice World Spine Day everybody
Fortunately my spine has always been healthy. I've got 99 problems everywhere else. 😂 Lift or carry something today, preferably kettlebells. 💪🏻

@Fergus Watson The answer is light weights and braced core which support the spine. And always test before without any weight!
Geeeeez, I'm jerking 🤪
Well, it's sure felt like it too. 😂 One arm jerk isn't very comfortable for me, because of my Obelix-like figures. 🤭 I concentrated on faster descend back on rack. My pitiful condition nearly killed my vibe though. 🥵 Test 5 min OAJ 8kg, multiple switches Total 77 reps, perhaps few no-reps. Hey, why don't you do it too!

Kettlebell Kumite #7 - Mixed Team Clean & Press - Oct 10-27
This Kumite is about a friendly competition in mixed teams. You will form pairs of one Kettle-Boy and one Kettle-Bella to compete together against the other teams in a 5-minute Clean & Press contest. Here is how it works: Find yourself a team partner to work together and motivate each other to new heights! Each of you record a single 5-minute Clean & Press session with a single KB. You can take as many attempts as you like. But only post your best effort. You may switch hands and put the KB down as many times as you need to during those 5 minutes. Time does not stop when you take a break. You cannot switch weights during the session. You can do Strict Press, Push Press or Jerk to get the KB into overhead fixation. Your combined reps and weights will determine your final score as follows: For the rep count both team members have reached you add the 2 weights used up and multiply the result with 2x that rep count. For any reps only one team member has achieved, you count those reps and multiply them with the weight those reps were done. Here is an example: Gregory has achieved 100 reps with 24kg. Angie has achieved 110 reps with 16kg. The score is: Both have done 100 reps with a combined weight of 40kg: 200 * 40 = 8000 points Angie has done an additional 10 reps with 16kg: 10 * 16 = 160 points Final score: 8160 Now all you have to do is find yourself a partner and get goin'! Update: To account for the surplus of Kettle-boys, 2 Kettle-boys can now also be a team, but get their final score miltiplied with 0.667 to stay comparable. E.g. a combined result of 9000 multiplied with 0.667 would come to a final score of 6000.

🥷 Kettlebell Kumite #6 | September 9 - October 9, 2024
How many *PUSH UP* can the entire dojo collectively complete within the span of 30 days? We're benching the kettlebell this month… to capitalize on the Push Up gains for the kettlebell's return in October! Here's how it works: - For the next 30 days, strive to complete as many *PUSH UP* as possible. - This is a group kumite, so every participant's reps are tallied together. - If you want to keep a diary, record a video of yourself doing the work. - Share your results in a comment below this post. - You have 30 days to contribute your reps to the dojo's total. Note: Any type of Push Up is allowed! Knee Push Up, Decline, On Bench, One-Arm…

VOLUNTEER WORK! Dojo OGs Helping Dojo Newbies
Lebe Stark has seen incredible growth over the past six months, reaching more and more people worldwide. With growth and success come new challenges. To address these, we’ve begun expanding our team. Many of our “OG” Kettlebell Dojo members will remember the high level of interaction we had when we first started. While it's natural that we can’t maintain that intensity throughout the day, I recognize that my personal time in the Dojo is limited. This is one of the reasons, interactions might have waned over the last couple of months. If YOU want to change this, listen up! We’re looking for passionate volunteers from the Kettlebell Dojo to help us: - Motivate and encourage new members to stay consistent - Guide new members as they find their footing - Organize Kumites and challenges - Foster an interactive and welcoming community space If you're interested in helping, please reach out to @Jason G by sending him an email at jason@lebestark.ch. You can also share your ideas in the comments section below. Let us know why you’d be perfect for this role and what ideas you’d like to bring to the table. If selected, you’ll be promoted to admin status. PLEASE NOTE: This is a voluntary role and not a paid position. We are looking for those who genuinely love helping others and are passionate about sharing their kettlebell journey with newcomers. There are no specific time requirements—just your dedication, enthusiasm, and love for kettlebells and the community.
