I'm from the UK and I'm new to editing (3 Months) Im currently making £100 a month from video editing however I do not have a monetary goal just yet. I started editing because I knew a couple of people who told me I'd enjoy it. My goals are to improve at: 1. Sound Design 2. Colour grading 3. Storytelling 4. Animation 5. Keeping the viewer engaged leading to high AVD + Retention.

Budget: £1,200 - £1,500 I currently have a 2017 Macbook Air, which is extremely slow and want to take my first "big step" in video editing. I've been looking at a refurbished M1 MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM which is around £1300.
