Nature adaptations -Heat🏜️
Hello community!! I’m currently seeking information on a couple of topics and would greatly appreciate your insights 🌵🌍 1. Does anyone know where I can find information on adaptations in animals and plants to cope with heat? Any recommended sources or references would be incredibly helpful. 2. Additionally, I am curious about whether animals and plants are able to develop adaptations during this period of drought and climate change. Are there any examples of species that have managed to structural adapt in such a short timeframe (anthropocene) or is it more likely that they will face extinction due to the lengthy process of adaptation? Thank you very much for your assistance! Bjorn already shared with me many resources that I deeply appreciate 🥰

Hi @Byron Garcia ! Great to see you in another digital realm 😁 Super quick note just to say 1) if there is anyone interested in biomimicry's application towards democracy (and conversely biomimetic insights re: totalitarianism), - I'd be very interested in that conversation and know of an amazing woman who's especially focused on this (she's getting her masters at ASU right now and convening a group call "Biomimicry for Social Justice"). 2) Our Exec. Director at EcoRise lives in Burlington and I would love for you guys to connect! He works out of that beautiful co-working space that overlooks the lake (not jealous at all 🤣) 3) there's a lot of great work being done already on Biomimicry's insights for resilience strategies. I'm happy to share more if you like. 🌱🪺🍄🦋🪶
